I don’t buy this theory because Reed is in charge of player recruitment as well. By not sacking the manager Reed is basically accepting that he’s doing as well as can be expected with these players. Surely the best thing for Reed is to make this guy the scapegoat. Sacking him sends out the message that we’ve given him a decent squad of players, and he hasn’t managed them properly. Under an old fashioned manager, your point maybe valid. Reed may not want to be seen as making one mistake in picking the wrong manager. As it is he’s going to be accused of making loads of mistakes, by signing poor players. Worryingly, I genuinely believe Reed thinks sticking with the guy is the right thing for the club. Hopefully, he’s had a rethink now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche
Lord Duckhunter replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
He's not "bloody hopeless". He was tidy , brave and held the ball up pretty well yesterday. He suffers because he hasn't got the pace to work the channels or get in behind and he's not quite used to the physical nature of the league. Arsenal signed a 50 million player from France and he's struggling, it does happen. Anyone would struggle up front alone in our side at the moment. To say he "lacks a football brain" says more about you and your inflated opinion of your football knowledge than his brain. Such a lazy, unmeasurable criticism . I've seen nothing to suggest he's any more lacking in that department than any other of our players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
JWP was as bad as the others, shocking..way too weak & ineffectual. He didn’t show any more spirit than any of the others. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Just back in hotel, getting my self together before a night out with my Geordie mate, god he’s going to be unbearable. I haven’t read any other posts, but here’s my take. Just weren’t at the races early doors, poor poor management to be caught out by fast start. Wes is awful and he’s making Jack worse. He’s not a patch on the player he should be, we need an experienced leader next to one of them. The 2 together are flicking disastrous. Why oh why not play OR, scandalous selection. Lemina & PEH didn’t work. Tadic, a Fi king disgrace. I thought Guido did ok, worked hard, tidy, not quite good enough, but that’s not his fault. If some of the others had his attitude we’d be ok. Redmond must be the easiest player to defend against in the league. The full backs nearly stand sideways on to jockey him, he won’t go down the line, easy as shelling peas to play against. I thought the full backs didn’t give it their all. Keeper played well, not at fault at all. Clearly the end has come for the manager. Some of the players need to go as well, they can not be absolved of blame. Newcastle wanted it more today, end of. That’s completely unacceptable in my eyes. Incredibly disappointing was the players attitude towards the supporters at the end, about 3 or 4 made a half hearted effort, but the rest couldn’t really be arsed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Churchill did indeed call for a United States of Europe in his Zurich speech of Sept 1946. The speech is reproduced here by The Churchill Society. Particularly attention should be paid to the final paragraph. “Great Britain, the British Commonwealth of Nations, mighty America, and I trust Soviet Russia - for then indeed all would be well - must be the friends and sponsors of the new Europe and must champion its right to live and shine”. http:// http://www.churchill-society-london.org.uk/astonish.html

I hope not, I’ve got the snap dragon up here with me. Just got a recommendation from the bird waitressing in Miller & Carter’s , a bar where “there’s people my mum & Dads age in there”. Can’t work out if she’s being friendly or taking the ****. Just back at hotel putting me dancing shoes on ( or is it crocodile shoes up here). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Doesn’t it depend on who we’ve got home & away. City & Chelsea are clearly harder games than Everton, Leicester, West Ham & Newcastle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Lol....Love it. They didn’t “steal” anyone, they made offers and these were accepted. You know, like Cortese did with Arsenal & Ox. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If we had Chiellini at centre half instead of Wes, Khedira in the midfield instead of OR & we had Costa & Dybala supporting Higuain, I’d agree with you. Why stop at Juve, why not set up like Man C or Barca the next 2 games. I’d love for us to really have a go like they do. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This nonsense that Brexiters are deluded or live in a fantasy world is pony. They are fully aware of exactly where the land lies. Frasier Nelson hit the nail on the head when asked why the ERG group of MP’s welcomed May’s latest speech, despite it making concessions that were unpalatable to them. His reply was The EU will chuck it out anyway, so they can appear reasonable and conciliatory and still get what they want. The more the EU continue with their hardline approach, the more likely a no deal scenario is. They will bring the Government down over “A” or “the” customs union ( although probably won’t have to as Morgan was backing down at a rapid rate of knots on Sunday, now May has “listened” to her concerns) and the electorate won’t accept free movement, ruling out the SM. The EU gave David Cameron **** all because they knew he’d recommend staying in regardless. A German embassy source confirmed to Andrew Neil that they were also sure that the British people would vote to stay in, so didn’t give him any concessions. They misjudged the British electorate then and they’re misjudging them now. They are the deluded ones living in a fantasy land if they think playing hardball will soften British public opinion, it’ll just harden it and bring more on the side of no deal. Perhaps you should let him know. http:// http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/11219934/toby-alderweireld-declares-himself-fit-for-tottenhams-top-four-battle According to journos on Sunday Supplement the other week, he’s being frozen out because he won’t sign a new contract, he’s easily ready for bench. They suggested it showed Poch’s ruthlessness, evidently he’s been the same with Danny Rose because of his wages outburst ( he’s now fit to play) and he also blanked Walker because he wanted out. The manager picks Dier over Vic, and leaves Rose (now he’s fit) out. He seems to be freezing Toby out as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Boruc Clyne Shaw Lovren Fonte Cork Schneiderlin Wanyama Lambert Davis Lallana Ward-Prowse JRod Chambers Yoshida Gaston That’s 16 he had to pick from. Are your seriously trying to say Puel had better overall squad than that? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Makes you wonder why the great man had Yoshida & Fonte on the bench. Lambert, Lallana, Pre injured JRod, Morgan, Davis of 2013, Lovren . Would all walk into the side we had last season, Cork would be close. You can’t really moan about Hooiveld playing, when Fonte & Yoshida were on the bench. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Love the way you’ve gone back through my posts, bloody must have taken a long time. However you should have gone back a bit further. You’d then have seen that my post “ Chris Coleman” was a guess after this post, as opposed to a choice. What was my choice instead of Koeman, to save you trawling through anymore, I’ve done it for you. Note, not Coleman. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
