  1. Lord Trousers must be on holiday. His postings per day is starting to slip, so he has some work to do when he gets back.
  2. Just like last year, eh?
  3. So far so good. Say aisatsu to your son.
  4. VVD had ties to us by recently signing a bumper 5 year contract. Of course no one expected him to stay for that long, but if he'd done a Morgan and given us one more year without downing tools then fair play. Same with that **** Lamina.
  5. Indeed. And it's not like the big boys were knocking at our door for him. Shame he couldn't have this attitude: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49966966
  6. The Donkey definitely. But I don't think we knew the other two were as bad as they are.
  7. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49966966 Shame VVD didn't have this attitude. Although in fairness Zaha did have 2 years at United and flopped, so maybe that's part of the reason he's knuckling down and getting on with it.
  8. It'll be worse than 2005, it'll be a financial disaster. And most likely no new Markus to save us. Anyone who thinks relegation would be a chance to clear out the dross and build from scratch is deluded. We'll lose all the semi-decent players, and be left with the overpaid crap until their wages put us into administration. After that any decent young players coming through will be snapped up in nanoseconds (remember Bale and Walcott?)
  9. If they do prise him away from us I hope we make them break the bank to be adequately compensated.
  10. That was more forgivable, since he has the talent and the club can still get most of their money back. But as for the other four..... 66m FFS
  11. Has Poch been hired by Real Madrid yet?
  12. It probably didn't help that Spurs were singing our song.
  13. So that's why he doesn't jump.
  14. With JWP at RB and Vestergaard it's actually 10 v 9.
  15. Only one today. You're slipping Lord T. We expect at least 3 tomorrow.
  16. Or maybe it was because we finally had a RB at RB, a LB at LB, and our 2 best CBs in between.
  17. Are their U-18s looking for a new coach?
  18. Have to disagree about Obafemi. I thought he had a good game and some very neat close control. I would have him in ahead of Adam's (at least until he gets injured again).
  19. I think so. He only turned 30 last week. Again. Is Lawrence still working in their ticket office?
  20. When I was a postdoc at Dundee I wrote him a letter thanking him for doing a great job as manager, but mentioned a big weakness at the back (Kevin Bond's position - hint, hint). I suggested he look at a Dundee defender (captain there) who I suggested would do a better job. He took the time to write back saying he'd sent a scout to have a look but he (the scout) didn't think the player was any better. I was surprised he had taken the time to write back a nice reply, and even more surprised he'd sent out a scout. Top bloke.
