Post Match Reaction: Arsenal 2-0 SAINTS

Well he certainly is as mad as a box of borucs. But at least Big Vic was immense. He clearly was told to KISS* about his passing. * Keep it short, stupid. -
Keep it up and we can welcome him as a new nutjob.
-
Me too. Can we shake hands on it?

Prediction of Lawro's prediction. I've been proved wrong time and again with my predictions about Saints losing. They keep surprising, consistently playing brilliantly, and in their last match played Hull off the park. They could easily have scored 7 or 8. They have no major injury concerns, and their players (especially the ones called up by England) are brimming with confidence. Their defense is rock solid. Arsenal on the other hand, despite their good start, looked very poor against United in their last match, and will miss the suspended Flamini. Prediction: Arsenal 3 Southampton 1.

Wise words!

Very possibly next year. They'll be up the creek without a parachute payment.

Admitted I got that wrong whilst supporting Saints!

Carlton Bloody Palmer would be crap. Adkins sacking was a bad decision. Redknapp would save us. In fairness I predicted Wigley, Gray, the Dutch duo, and Lowe returning the 2nd time would be disasters. -
A must win game at the Emirates. Lose that and it's going to be very difficult to pip them for the title.
-
Disagree, in the 1st half he made a number of excellent forward passes. This.

Well there goes our chance this year of giving them a good rogering in the 3rd round. It was a big ask of course, for the minnows to overcome a team who are giants compared to them. We'll have to console ourselves with looking at the top quarter of the PL table. And for those strangers coming on here declaring that this epic thread is dead (again), and calling us names, sorry but we nutjobs are not going to pack it in that easily. We know that there are many more twists, turns and laughs still to come.

I thought big Vic played pretty well in the first half, with some excellent passes. Shame about the second half cock up, he went down hill after that, and MP pulled him off at the right time. -

Why don't you just admit you were wrong?

“Fans can watch videos on our big screen and have food brought to their seat or enjoy the concourse TVs around the refreshment kiosks and buy their food the traditional way.” Now I understand what the Storrie teller meant when he said about them going to a new level. But is it enough to take their minds off the cesspit they have to sit in, and the rubbish on the pitch in front of them?

A defeat on penalties would be very demoralising.

I would say the current Belgium squad is stronger than that. Of course that is a matter of opinion, but for a country 1/5 the size of ours their current squad is amazing, and surely is a golden generation by their standards, if not ours.

That reminds me of this classic: "And for those of you watching on black-and-white sets, Everton are wearing the blue shirts." - David Colemanball

Home draw against a fellow minnow please. They have a chance of winning that. Likewise in the second round. And then a rogering in the third round from today's 3rd placed team in the PL. I 12-0 would look forward that.

We'd probably be languishing with the bottom dwelling, scum sucking, fish if it wasn't for him (and Markus). His ruthlessness, drive and determination is unbelievable. He deserves all the praise he is getting, and I hope he plans to be with the Saints for a long time.

When England again get knocked out in the quarter-finals in a penalty shoot-out, I wouldn't bet against Belgium being the team to do it. Hazard, Dembélé, Fellaini, Kompany, Vermaelen, Mignolet, Vertonghen, Mirallas, Benteke, Lukaku, Witsel, Defour. That's what you call a golden generation.
