Trouble is, now they'll want to buy half our U-18 team.

.... and use as an excuse to bring in another loan.

You know things are bad for Cheats FC when Corpse goes quiet. You know things are really bad for Cheats FC when Mack goes quiet.

I think (and hope) you are right there. I'm sure Chinny is going to give us plenty more chuckles before this all ends. In tears. For the few.

Well the shovels and rakes used for the pitch should bring in a few bob. Oh wait a minute, haven't the locks on the shed been changed?
-
Not much of a punishment though: 2 X £0 = £0

At the moment it does appear so. But hopefully, with the crimes of the Cheats being so egregious, the spirit of the late Mawhinney may linger on (just for them).

The few of the phew.

More than double the points than the Cheats now have. And if they get hit with a further 10 point deduction, Saints would be close to having quadruple their points.

Jos is a top bloke it seems.

Don't forget the FL can (and have) make up rules as they see fit. So if the FL wants to do a Mawhinney on the Cheats, it perhaps would be simpler to just hit them with a massive point penalty (-50 for example), with an additional penalty that any negative points remaining at the end of the season would be carried over to next year in L1. This would not only guarantee that the cesspit of a club goes down, but the negative point carry-over threat would also nip in the bud any vindictive attempt to threaten the integrity of the competition by capitulating all their remaining games this season.

I'm surprised dune hasn't joined in the fun here.

Mind the gap, Cheats.

I don't know about you, but I'll be having fun dancing on their grave.

Construction Work Begins At Staplewood
Dark Munster replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
They won't have to, they have begun construction on their own training facilities. -
AA will use three things to show that they can service the administration: parachute payments, parachute payments, and Mr. Gregory. OK, maybe not the last one. Somehow Cheats FC have convinced the PL to forward enough (perhaps) to allow them to limp along to when the remainder of the next installment is due, no doubt with the promise that they'll get their house in order then. In reality, as soon as the remainder is received the person at the front of the queue with his hand out (I won't mention who) will be off to HK faster than a pair of knickers falls down in Portsea, finally pulling the plug on the rotten corpse of a club once and for all.

As nice a gesture as that would be, I think he prefers going for quality over quantity.

Nice one rallyboy. Another post to go into the PTS Greatest Hits compilation when this is all done and dusted. Now if HMRC can choose a QC who is this time slightly more competent than the teaboy or a toy salesman, maybe, just maybe, he or she can actually convey some of the above in court, and get the cesspit closed down once and for all. The Cheats FC-expunged table looks very tasty. Talk about killing 2 fish with one stone.

Saints are preparing a team for that scenario ...

12 goals in 67 appearances.

There can be no replacing Cheats FC. If the rotten festering cesspit of a club ceases to exist, there can be no other rivals. I may even have a twinge of sadness over their demise, since it's been fun watching their slow death. But if they're gone I'm sure I'll get over it, given enough time.

Insane.

Chinny shot his wad last season in his quality over quantity gamble to go up. I predicted then that he'd pull the plug if (as we expected) it would fail. But this was postponed temporarily as he succeeded in finding a couple of crooks (allegedly) with filthy money to keep them running for half a year or so. Now that Chinny is within touching distance of his next beloved parachute payment, I'm sure he's not going to lose any sleep over any strings attached to bringing it (and maybe the last one too) forward. The last thing he wants to do now is waste money on trivial things like players and staff salaries. If the FL tell him that Cheats FC have to go down 13 divisions, along with a 150 point penalty, to have those payments brought forward, I'm sure his response will be "where do I sign?"
