"Saints Takeover Saga"
-
I think the feeling's mutual.
-
To a Nigerian bank account? If so, your £1 billion inheritance is on its way.
-
And it's a fact!
-
Messi is a better player than Long.
-
Not quite, as he is a better player than Shane Long. <- Statement as a fact Not quite, as I think/I believe/IMHO he is a better player than Shane Long. <- Statement as an opinion.

Is it just me who thinks Redmond was ok yesterday, especially in the first half? Walcott on the other hand was f**king useless, and not for the first time. Dear God Saints, please don't offer him a contract. Nice guy I'm sure, but he's washed up.

Beautiful city is Oxford

Overall not that bad. Liverpool's attacking passing is scarily good. Tella very good. Redmond good. KWP ok. Armstrong anonymous. McAdam's needs lessons from Ings. No LB on show, Salah will punish us in the 2nd half unless Stephens wakes up. Walcott a waste of space.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

If so they won't be able to catch us, but we'll still be looking nervously over our shoulders at WBA who still can. -
Agreed, but the big lump has to be able score goals too, like Pelle. Donkeys need not apply.
-
Didn't quite succeed on that, they did manage to get 1 point. Amla (ret. inj.) and Pope scored 75 more runs between them than Hants got in both innings combined!
-
Yes if his replacement for the missing matches is a Shane Long then the 2 of them is no better than a 10 goal a season player. I'm saying I'd prefer to keep Ings and finding another Adams as his backup. Of course a healthy 20 goal a season replacement would be ideal, but we all know how likely that is.
-
Yes, but there's a difference between a 10 goal in half a season player with a 10 goal in a whole season player. With the half season player we may get 4-5 goals from his replacement for his missed games.
-
Some good news, Vardy's goal drought ended against WBA.
-
It does annoy me when posters lump Puel in with the Clown and the Dinosaur. Sadly a common false equivalence.
-
.... between Palace, Burnley and Newcastle.
-
That's what the Phew believe, but even if the skates had beaten We're Bottom Again 10-0 we still would've gone down. We (i.e. Saggy) relegated ourselves by losing to Utd.
-
Yes but they've got tons of chips, and the other players are skint.
-
If the title of this thread is a question, the answer is no.

Is the Premier League too rich for us?
Dark Munster replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
We get about £100 million each year from being in the PL. If we were run properly and had decent scouts it wouldn't be too rich for us to remain a mid-table team. Of course if the big six succeed in destroying the PL we'll have a massive drop in revenue but still stuck with a huge debts and wage bill. i.e. fucked.
