Won't be long now till we know who we want to keep and who will be going. Still hope we get some muscle in to boost the squad. I also hope we can keep Mills, Lancashire and Gillett. DMG and Surman look like going soon. Lallana might be allowed to go as well. Spiderman could be good for us if he can toughen up some.

Some people bastardise even our slang so it is possible that Dustbin Lid could be interpreted in a different way to the one intended. In my book the one complaining about such a thing is the one causing a problem.

+1 I have to agree that several times you see people being pilloried because they think along different lines to someone else. I didn't pay my money to join the biggest Saints mouthpiece to see all the infighting and have to admit that at times it does annoy me a lot. I am a Saints supporteer and always will be. Whoever takes over our club has to be backed by us in the short term at least until we can see how the ship is being run. With MLT we have an inexperienced leader but I feel that he has enough nous to employ experienced men around him. I say give the buyer/s a chance to show his/hers/their credentials before castigating anybody. I simply require some news telling me the club is safe. Point scoring is meaningless until we have a club.

To be fair to the man, he probably saw how poor Jan was very early. After taking over he had no cash to spend though he did bring Saeijs in to help.

I am waiting for the opening game of the season against Millwall for the biggest party/knees up we have had for years. Everything else will just have to wait that day.

I can't really say that I was surprised by the points penalty and won't be if we were to incur more. That said I still feel we have to pray that the swiss are more prepared to move swiftly. If we have anyone interested in us they should know by now that the points will not be retracted under any circumstances. Therfore the issue should simply be how much they will have to pay.

Good point, especially under the present circumstances. Can't see it happening though. Perhaps after everything is sorted we will learn what the truth is regarding the FL disagreement.

I don't necessarily agree with you there. It is extremely likely that we the fan base could stick our fingers up at the rulemakers and sign up enmass to support our stricken club. We could actually have an us against the whole world as nobody likes us atmosphere with team and fans joining together and really going for broke. Dreaming perhaps but it just might happen.

would have thought that with time running out the onus would have been to get the vreditors to agree what was now on the table. Problem there could be additional penalties for the club going into admin and not getting creditor clearance when bought out.

Seeing as how we are in deep do do it would have been far more realistic for the new bidders to make a new offer. It is not the normal way for a second bidder to have to follow suit surely. Especially as their original bid must have been lower than Pinnacles surely.

What I don't get is why Fry hasn't given the chance to someone waiting in the shadows. It is a week since the exclusivity ran out so where are the other backers? Is there anybody out there really interested in saving our club? I can feel my heart growing ever more heavy as it fills me with a feeling of despair. So many hopes were placed in Pinnacle's care once they declared an interest and now a month later we still don't seem to be able to progress. A manager is needed and players to get us back up a league. Not being greedy to start with as we need to make one step forward at a time. Time is now of the essence and yet nobody strikes me as being in a rush to conclude a deal. Fry should surely have checked out another bidder by now and I must admit to being surprised that another consortium hasn't been given their turn.

If this club of ours were to fold there would be somebody prepared to come in and take it on. Especially if fed enough dope of one type or another.

A club can survive without fans maybe. I just don't think they would be able as a rule to afford the same quality.
