  1. I too was sent someone else's, which I didn't notice - mine arrived the day before the match.
  2. Serial killers? Fred West was a bloody good builder, but all that everyone bangs on about is a few misdemeanours. Either way, he wasn't as bad as those grasses that stitched him up.
  3. Yeah, all that scum that grassed up Savile and Glitter - then those lowlifes that gave evidence against Hindley, Sutcliffe and Fred West, I bet there's people who 'snitched' on the terrorists that plagued London too. Instead of being filthy 'grasses' let's all pretend to be crooked-nosed 1960s bankrobbers from Bethnal Green - a really cool look in a 2019 football stadium where someone is shouting racist abuse.
  4. In this new era of technology it's a special kind of ref who can still have a shocker. Though in his defence, it must be difficult to concentrate with the VAR bloke constantly talking him through his appalling mistakes in real time. He didn't change the result, but he did everything he could.
  5. Is Rupert still living in Kent? I'm sure that's what people shout at him every time he opens his mouth.
  6. She could indeed turn into the dullest woman ever, banging on about seals and stuff. Whereas Banks has already demonstrated what he is. Rather than the guy who has set himself up to make a fortune from shafting the poor, a scenario he is doing everything to create, thinly-disguised as some empire drivel, I'll put up with the foreign woman in the sandals woven from her own hair, hassling me about straws, thanks.
  7. He's just an ordinary guy on the street sticking it to the elite. And he seems to be having fantasies about teenage girls dying. A thoroughly unpleasant waste of bones and flesh.
  8. South Today and Meridian News have both surrendered. National features cobbled together between thinly-disguised adverts for their own programmes, or dull stories about plucky pets. RIP local news.
  9. Suggestions that people are incapable of communicating with others while driving. I'm horrified to discover that there are sections of the population that require 100% of their brain capacity to operate a car. Most people have plenty spare and can talk, think, listen to music etc. Get the thickos off the road.
  10. Doesn't matter whether we play Gunn or McCarthy, they'll not have a save to make. Liverpool are a one man team - Stephens will have Salah in his pocket so we can then exploit their slow fullbacks and get crosses in to the middle of their defence where they're really weak. With about 75% possession we will definitely create chances. Boufal to get a hat trick in a lung-busting box-to-box MoM performance in the style of Roy Keane or Graeme Souness.
  11. Anything that brings an end to wrestling at corners has to be progress. We may even get a slightly more honest sport now that Big Brother is watching everything, it looks like we are getting a more accurate one already, so I'd take the odd 'harsh' borderline decision if it wipes out the dozens of mistakes we normally have to endure.
  12. Indeed. When Sheff Utd come to town I'm sure he'll get a proper welcome, rather than moronic booing - the choice of simpletons. There are players who deserve that, he ain't one of them. Always gave everything.
  13. She picked us up at a disco, we were warned about her, she was fairly low maintenance, we had some great nights and some stupid ones, then her looks went, she dyed her hair and she buggered off to West Brom. Win-win.
  14. I'm quite happy to wait to celebrate a goal, though I'm dreading that moment when we score what looks like a good goal, and then you see the VAR call.... How long before we get one disallowed for some offence so minor it wouldn't even have been a foul last year? All I hope for is balance - the problem will be when the 'big' clubs start getting a benefit, but that won't be VAR's fault, the system just delivers images, it will be the fault of the official.
  15. Good riddance to all those greedy bankers who we are chucking out - I'm just glad they always insist on taking any financial hit themselves and battle to prevent ramifications trickling down to the less well-off, and that they don't employ anyone else or spend money in our economy in any form. We don't need them and their money, we just need to believe.
  16. After EU consistently confirmed that negotiations were over, Gove is astonished to discover that negotiations are over. #realitycheck He is pointless. It makes you wonder how many of the latest promises were just made up to harvest votes for Boris from the walking dead.
  17. I'm not aware of any killer quoting Obama during a massacre - but this guy referenced Trump, because his rhetoric inspires nutters. He knows the state of gun control yet he still whips up hate. Time to order up more body bags and feeble excuses.
  18. El Paso seems to be the result of a terrorist who was radicalised by being exposed to extremist speeches. The specific hate preacher's rhetoric was quoted during the attack. And we are supposed to trust the same man with a trade deal because he is our friend? We're better than that.
  19. To crack the nut of one-in-however-many who are cheating the system, we appear to have taken an industrial sledge hammer and we're now pushing people who need help, into poverty - and in some cases, beyond. When kids are going through school bins for food, should we perhaps have a look at our political direction of travel?
  20. Everyone knows he's not anti-semitic. As said above, he just made himself unelectable by not dealing with it, refusing to play the PR game, and thinking that people care about policy. Rory Stewart discovered that too - he offered honesty and reality, and was destroyed in the vote - the public hate a reality check, they want unicorns and rainbows all bound together by fluffy belief. Any indication when the independent investigation into Islamophobia in the Tory party will begin? The new PM promised it, so I'm sure it will happen soon.
  21. I see the Boris spin machine is already preparing the ground for his failure to deliver, again. We have warnings that a No Deal will cost money that may have to be diverted away from all of those promises he made to the members last week. The inevitable No Deal that his and Rees-Mogg's investments rely upon will be sold to the easily-led as the fault of 'traitor' Corbyn/Hammond etc and nasty foreigners. This is The Thick of It in action - but with less laughs.
  22. Global? That means competing with the top six clubs in the world. I look forward to seeing his plan... Then again they already have 'the best atmosphere in world football' so Eisner needs to raise his bar a little - 2025 conquer the Earth, 2030....the Universe!
  23. It's like we've been stuck playing in that rigid Man City first team all these years and now we've finally got that dream move to be player/manager at Barrow.
  24. From that footage it looks like it was the Leeds players who needed police protection!
