We just beat the de facto leaders in Wigan 2-0 on their own patch, they wouldn't stand a chance against us.
-
They're not going up this season. Next season, maybe.
-
I haven't been there myself, but I am reliably informed that Santa Barbara is beautiful.
-
"You dirty scummers, we're coming for you" You have to admire their optimism/delusion
-
That Carrillo transfer alone is why the scouting and recruitment department need a massive overhaul. Les Reed and Wilson have lost the plot completely. I'd be content with Hughes in charge next season even if we do go down.
-
Pardew yes, he is a poor manager, Hughes no, Stoke had consistently been in the top half before this season. Another club who have suffered due to poor recruitment.
-
I'll accept their apology if they go out and perform against Arsenal. We're all expecting a defeat but at least put in a decent performance, show the fans something where we can at least believe we might have a chance of staying up. Otherwise, it's just empty sentiments that mean nothing.

There is a certain arrogance about the club these days that I find rather repulsive, and I can’t help but feel that this starts from Les Reed. He really has to go at the end of the season, this mess is his legacy.

What Is The Most Amazing Place In The World That You Have Been Too
Pamplemousse replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
No, definitely not... I was in Portland in Oregon a couple of years ago and was wandering at night on my own. Unfortunately I got a bit lost and things got a bit scary. Portland actually reminds me of Southampton a bit, in terms of the fact that it's location has potential, but the reality is there is sod all to do there. But in terms of Manhattan, there is really is nowhere like it in the world -
It's the return of the once-hero-now-a-villain Paul Cook to Fortress Fatpipes, live on Sky, let's hope Wigan put up a better fight than Oxford did.
-
Stoke have capitulated, which is rather amusing. Hate them and their fans.
-
The one comforting for me is that in Moyes' first game in charge, West Ham lost 4-0 at Everton. So things can turn around. I'm sure West Ham fans were probably thinking something similar to what we're thinking now, although of course that was back in November...
-
Mark Hughes beat Arsenal in August so hopefully he'll have a blueprint to repeat his success
-
Regardless of whether we manage to stay up or not, the squad needs a massive overhaul in the summer.
-
Prepare to be shocked. He got a promotion at the end of last season, he’ll still be here sadly.
-
As long as we brought in an experienced centre back, I think we’d do pretty well. I can see is getting rid of Cedric, Bertrand, Hoj, Lemina, Boufal, Tadic and Carrillo (if we get 7 figures for him I’ll be amazed). Rebuild the team around the core British players like Davis, Long and Austin and with the mix of youth, we should alright. McCarthy New right back (assuming Pied also leaves) Yoshida Stephens (although I’d prefer a new CB) Targett Reed Romeu Sims/Long Hesketh JWP/Davis Austin/Gallagher That’s a pretty decent first eleven. We’ll need some solid new signings to add depth and experience
-
This is what I would go with Macca Pied Stephens Hoedt Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Hojbjerg Lemina Long Austin Sadly, we all know that Cedric and Tadic will start and we’ll have conceded defeat before kick off.
-
Hopefully when the weather warms up a bit, he'll spend his weekends at the golf course
-
To be honest though, those players you've mentioned should all be good enough, Gallagher, Reed and Targett are already proving themselves. Bednarek is an unknown really.
-
A centre back to partner Yoshida should be the priority. Sadly, the board probably think Stephens will do.
-
I would recommend drinking a few more beers
-
Post match interview... "We are learning..."
-
Arsenal will be prioritising the Europa League, and then of course have the early kickoff on Sunday less than 72 hours later, so hopefully Wenger names the youth or something. Try and park the bus and hope for the best.
-
Maybe we should have a mass protest at the next home game, look at the response from the West Ham players.
-
I'd narrow it down to between us and Huddersfield for that final spot. Huddersfield work hard but lack that bit of quality, whereas we are lazy as well as lacking quality. I don't think Stoke will stay up, and obviously there is no chance for West Brom.
