Reasonably happy with our current squad depth. I want to see the likes of Reed, Mcqueen, Targett on the bench, ready to step in if required and get experience in prem.

But there's always going to be contact with the player after 99% of tackles. I didn't get any sense of reckless follow through. I actually thought fonte's second was a yellow. Completely reckless and if the guy hadn't of jumped he would have taken him out. Jumping out of the way shouldn't get the fouler out of jail.

I'd like to see a few changes for this game, targett for one given another 90 minutes.

Couldn't understand why on match of the day they said fonte's first challenge was a booking. He got the ball well and truly first and while his trailing leg caught the man I can't see how that makes it a foul anymore than any other tackle.

Didn't get to listen to game today as i was out playing myself. Glad Bony helped Saints out with a silly sending off in what was an extremely tough away game. Equally glad we took advantage off them having 10 men. Makes nice viewing seeing us 2nd. Absolutely love our midfield. To me its Morgan and 2 of 3 between davis/Cork/Wanyama.

Rather hyperbolic, since Davis was our keeper in the championship and one of the better ones too.

Yeah utter craziness imo. Puts us at risk of losing a great little player for nothing, when we could tie him down now. It's not as if he's ever not put in 100%.

Seems a sensible move, given boruc's clear unhappiness. Happy enough with Davis as back up in the short term. Hope there's a recall clause in case of serious injury for Forster.

Sums up my feelings. He's been my favourite player of the recent bunch, ever since i was blown away by his play during our promotion season.

Personally thought Lallana was reasonably good in a mediocre Liverpool performance. Not bad considering he's been injured. Not happy with how he left but as you say it'll be whole season before we can judge whether he's going to carry on playing at the level he was for us last year.

Surely got to stick with the same team, just replace Mcqueen on the bench with Mane. It'll be interesting to see how we do against them. Was very pleased with last season's away win there.

Obviously inter weren't scared of Taider as they let him play against his parent club. Hopefully Osavldo does well enough so we can cut losses full time on him in the summer.

Disappointed by the lag too, heard of goals on Saints Web well before commentary.

Very happy both as i won money on us winning and nature of our victory. Was happy with the Koeman appointment but admit being very worried by the summer sales. Glad to see new team showing promise and hope they can go on to be as good or better than last season's excellent first 11. Great to see Cork back in the starting line-up too & Morgan being a model professional on the pitch.

Cork... get in New contract pls.

For me i'd bring in Cork for JWP, otherwise stick to the team that beat West Ham. New signings starting on the bench

GK: We look stronger Def: Likely Weaker first choice. Bertrand a downgrade on shaw, gardos/aderweirald got quite some level to get up to chambers/Lovren performances of last season. Mid: About same. Lost Lallana our best player last year, replaced with so far very promising Tadic. Lost Talented Gaston, replaced with Gaston Mk2(here's hoping Mane is more consistent) Att: About Same: Lost osvaldo and Lambert, brought in Long and Pelle. Taking account of Jrod still being out for months means we are weaker.

Reserving judgment at the moment. Lots of good players out but we have brought players in, so we'll see how they perform. Happy that my favourite player cork looks to be staying with us at the moment.

Time will tell. On a paper a very promising signing but then so was gaston at the time we signed him. Interesting to see how the 2 players do this season for respective teams.
