  1. Wellbeck being available to loan to anyone outside the top 6 certainly seems a tantilising prospect. Personally i would consider it frustrating that we wasted so much money on the mediocre Long if there was a genuine chance to take Wellbeck for the season. Is it better to hope he considered us too poor to come to or that those in charge thought Long a better option?
  2. Personally i would have preferred us to have gone for an option such as Mccarthy as younger competition with Boruc starting as no 1. Forster is a good keeper and a good age. However it seemed highly likely Boruc wasn't going to take relegation to bench well and Forster wasn't going to be coming as backup. Hopefully we'll find somewhere to offload Artur as having him sniping from inside camp would hardly be ideal imo. Going with Kelvin as backup hopefully should lead to end of the world.
  3. Hoping for a win, expecting a poor draw.
  4. Paper's will constantly be looking for the next gem to link in their rumour mills. What i'm less certain of is our steeliness in refusing to sell our rising stars prematurely. If JWP has a good season, will he be ushered out the door immediately like Chambers etc?
  5. Still incredibly annoyed by Club selling Chambers. Completely idiotic move imo.
  6. Thought Morgan was partially culpable for 2nd, standing lazily rather than going to challenge for 2nd ball. Though the 2nd goal was a mass of errors.

  8. Yeah that's how I see it too. Rickie's rep with me is intact.

  12. I thought Liverpool were much poorer than last season, partially hardly surprising as they were missing Suarez. We had a spell where we played well but for the wider game don't believe it was a case of us making them look poor. I thought at centre back we were weak, badly missing Lovren. Maybe Gardos will solve it, or maybe we'll go after the likes of Vlaar. In the attacking third we were much worse than last season. Hardly surprising again(lost Jrod, Lambert, Osvaldo and Lallana). So yeah i think cutting edge in the that area needs addressing badly. Even if Jrod's back by Oct, which i'm dubious about i would expect quite a long period before he's fully up to speed.

  14. Ohhh nice, resorting to insults. The last resort of the desperate.

  16. Is that the interview because really i can't see an issue with what he says. Seems to genuinely care about Saints. Hints at behind the scenes issues but so what.

  18. Liverpool were poor on the day and we lost to them. We were much poorer than last seasons saints team(both defensively) and in an attacking sense imo. I'm entitled to my opinion that what was on show there wasn't a top 10 team imo but equally as i said not a relegation team either. Gardos may propel that defence back to last year's level(haven't seen him play so can't give an opinion on that) I'm not expecting jrod back for months and certainly months after till he might get back to last season's level.

  20. Looks like a random number generator was used for those stats.Lol, they gave clyne an 8 for scoring despite being at fault for the goals and Bertrand/Wanyama 5's.

  22. Still has to go some way to match the performances of Lallana last season for us. Looked like he has potential on today's evidence.
