Easily the best I have seen Saints play! Had an absolute ball and thought we thoroughly deserved the points. We looked so assured in possesion and controlled the game completely. Forest were extremely poor and I have no doubt that they will be going down. Do not think I have seen such a poor side in all my years watching football. They never looked liked scoring, even when they actually got into a goal scoring position. MOM for me was Hammond. Excellent link up and defensive play, however Jos, as everyone has said, was also brilliant. Apologies to everyone near us on Row Y and our screaming, shrill 7 year old niece. Never before has 'Yellows' been shouted so loudly and at such a high pitch. Ears must've been bleeding all around us, though she did illicit a number of smiles. Not bad for her first ever game and she lasted the full 90 minutes without claiming once that she was bored.

There are tons of films worse than all of those listed above. Recently we watched The House of the Devil, and it is attrocious. One of the worst films I've ever seen, especially as the trailer made it look really, really good.

Got a PS3 for my Birthday with Arkham City. First thing I did was rush out and buy Arkham Asylum as I wanted to experience them in order. Have just finished AA and am looking forward to playing AC soon, not just yet. Want to savour it. Did try it out to make sure it worked though and it looked fantastic. Cannot wait to actually play it properly.

Bought my tickets this morning. This is a local match for me seeing as I'm just down the road from the City Ground. Taking my 7 year old niece to this game as well to try and get her supporting Saints in the future. I just hope we beat Forest otherwise the next week in work is going to be excruciating.

Agree completely that the first kick could be seen as self defence, however once the fan is on the ground, the keeper then goes into him, which could be considered assault. I think the referee was in a sticky situation as if he let the keeper play on, it could've been worse as he may have been targettedeven more, yet to send him off also seems harsh (though the 2nd and 3rd kicks are really unnecessary). I think the coach did the right thing getting his team off of the pitch, probably the best thing to do in that situation.

Only skimmed the thread however didn't spot Steve Moran on the list. What about Delgado? Surely worth a mention just for the fact that he didn't really play for us. My personal fav of recent years however has to be Ostlund. A great personality in the team and nothing could stop him.....not even Hartsons boot in the face.

Before I joined the old membership scheme I sometimes struggled to get tickets for Prem matches. Not often, but a couple of times I did struggle. Once in the membership scheme however, no problems at all in getting tickets.

Yep, against Fulham. Niemi controlled the ball and volleyed it against the crossbar for M. Svensson to score on the follow-up. 92nd minute of injury time (I think?) and got us a draw (2-2?)

As someone has already said.....we are still enjoying the impact of that statue to this day. Whilst it was an obvious failure as a monument to the great man, it has provided one of the all time best laughs on the Saints forums and will continue to do so for many years to come. Didn't Peter Jackson buy it to use as a market square statue in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit? (I'll get me coat)

I remember the Jimmy Case\Bryan Robson incident clearly (we went on to win on penalities didn't we?) and credit to Robson, he did try and stop the referee showing a card at all as he felt it was a fair tackle.

The only poor decision AP made in my opinion was him taking so long to bring on Waigo and Antonio. If we had seen these earlier (before the pen decision), I think the game might have had a different outcome. I would also have kept Barnard on as he was our most threatening player on the day, though he was clearly losing his rag with the referee. I do not think the players represented themselves or their ability at all on Saturday. I cannot really fault AP for that as he sent out essentially the same players who had scored 10 in 2 beforehand. Maybe he didn't get them motivated enough, though I would still put a lot of this on the players themselves. I think a combination of poor refereeing and not showing our class was the reason for the loss. I don't think Tranmere played particulary well at all and I do not think that AP is to blame at all. He picked the team that we all wanted him to pick, they just did not perform on the day. These things happen and I just hope we turn it on against Leeds and hammer them to make up for it.

You could be right, I was going on defensive positions more than actual names. It allowed the Tranmere player a free header back across the goal. Just watched the highlights fro mthe game and I'm even more angry about the penalty decision. Truly absymal decision. Oh well, some you win and some you lose. I'm sure we've had the rub of the green on many occassions this season, so it all balances out in the end......I hope!

Have had time to reflect on what was a poor display from Saints. Didn't think we showed enough quality to win and we were clearly robbed of the draw. It's been mentioned enough already but the ref really was dire. Their goal came about after a poor free kick decision and a slip by Otsemboor (sp.) to allow the Tranmere player to head it back across the goal. Unfortunate really, but then we go up the other end and equalise quickly. From that point on, we rarely showed any quality on the ball at all. Missed a couple of chances in the 2nd half and just as we were beginning to gain some momentum, the ref gives a very dubious penalty. Barnard got nothing from the ref at all throughout the whole game, however I do agree that it looked like Fonte was clearly looking for a penalty when he went down and deserved the yellow. Another poor, poor decision by the ref, which I don't think has been mentioned was the attempted punch\slap by Waigo towards the end of the match. Really should've been sent off in my opinion, however the ref just got the players to shake hands and then carried on with a goal kick. Our best player, I think was Harding, who was defending well and supporting the attacks with some intelligent running. Overall, a very poor performance made all the more galling by the inept referee.

Bloody Hell !!! The 93-95 home Pony shirt I'm currently wearing to cycle to work in, getting covered in mud and cr*p, is worth £55! Better stop wearing it I think.

Haven't been bothered about England scores for many years. In fact, if England come up against a team with an ex-Saint playing I will usually be hoping hoping for the other team to win. I will follow ex-Saints through the World Cup but will not be bothered in the slightest if I miss the England games, including the final if we get there. Good time to get shopping or vistiting done as the roads will be clear. ;->

Absolutely Club. Couldn't care less about England at all. I find it amusing when England lose or play badly against other teams, especially the minnows. International football just doesn't register on my radar that much at all. In fact, when England are playing against a team with a Saints player (or even ex-Saint) in the squad, I do find myself rooting for the other team. I'd rather see the Saints player doing well against England.

You REALLY don't want to go swimming in the Trent. While some species of fish are coming back due to cleaner water, the amount of power stations and sewage works all pumping into the river make it a very unattractive proposition. I've only been in there once when I fell out of a canoe and that was more than enough for me.

There is very limited on-street parking, however most of it in Nottingham is now on meters. Not sure of the area out towards Meadow Lane and Trent Bridge however, but when the council are in the process of attempting to tax people parking at work, it wouldn't surprise me if this is all on meters now. There are a number of car parks in the centre and near the station which can be used, however will cost more than the park and ride. Buses from there are every 7 minutes now so is a regular, efficient service. You're also right about the normal 'Footie' car parks that spring up on match day, Stanley, though for people heading into the centre for a drink before hand, I would go for the park and ride first. Parking in Nottingham is notoriously bad and expensive. There is no free parking anywhere. The best bet is to head for the Park and Ride site at Queens Drive (closest to the M1) and get the Citylink 1 bus into the centre. Parking is £4 and covers 6 people to and from the centre. The journey takes about 20 minutes into the centre. The City ground is a brisk 20 minute walk from Old Market Square. The Citylink bus also picks up and drops off at the Railway station, which is about a 10 minute walk to the City ground.

Whilst I will not be taking part, I just wanted to say that I think this is a wonderful idea. It is every fans dream to play for their club, and as most of us will never do that, to play a competitive match in your clubs ground is probably the next best thing. Well done to everyone for organising this and well done to the club for allowing it to happen. I know they are getting money out of it, but they could've said no! I hope the rest of organising goes smoothly and everybody involved enjoys the day to the maximum.

Well, if I'm 1-0 down on LMA manager, I usually revert to 3-4-3 from 4-4-2 and take off a Central Defender. Works for me a lot of the time.
