Still sitting pretty for tommorrow in the sweepstake. 11:00-12:00 may have been a bit early though. Suspect the chap with 2pm is going to get it :/

Please don't feed the trolls. They've never had it so good.
  3. Makes you think right. The security at SMS is laxidasical compared to somewhere like Manchester Arena. And that goes for 95% of football grounds in the country. Its going to happen one day unless that changes.
  4. Will happen Thursday after the EL final. I'll take 11-12am.

    Puel out

People should ignore squad value IMO, especially since we have net received money to make this squad, not net spend. Our wages put us mid table, and frankly that is where we are. The wheels have properly come off of Les' "Southampton Way" this season. Boring football, no plan B, poor transfer dealings and a serious dent in brand recognition and supporter happiness. People can scream "8th place and a final" all they want... The truth is we've got 46points, and game after game we have been unable put matches to bed when the other team have practically rolled over on their back asking us to tickle them senseless. (And I include the cup final in that list of games, just like Hull at home, Stoke at home, United at home etc etc etc etc - I actually lose count). Puel has to go, he's lost the dressing room, and doesn't know how to score a goal with this team, let alone win a match atm.
  6. We owe Cortese and Markus more than anyone else in recent history, and yet fans will still attack NC on here with no remorse, and no matter how much crap they spout doing it. He had no hand in any good decisions and was responsible for every bad one according to some on here. You couldn't make it up. I suspect in 10years time led Reed will have been responsible for ML buying the club in the first place, and NC will have been written into the history books as being responsible for not signing back up for VVD. HTH.
  7. No. Cortese sacked Pardew, Cortese hire Adkins, Cortese hired Poch. Les got rid of the two best managers we've had in two decades. In fact by that Metric I would say Puel's job is safe. The rewriting of history on this board, and complete removal of credit with regards to NC is embarrassing. Just except that he was pivotal in where we are now. And in the 3 years since he left the club, we're in exactly the same spot in the league (although slightly worse, or slightly better depending on what metrics you use). The fact remains, why on earth people want to air brush him from history is beyond me.
  8. Every season ticket holder I know, bar 1, did not attend that game.
  9. And still, no home league wins this year, no goal at home for nearly 7 hours, and our worst league performance for 4 years. Puel is a dead man walking. But says a lot about the club that even after a bad season, we are still in a position to achieve 4 consecutive top ten finishes. Imagine if we had a manager who knew how to attack, break down teams, and score goals!!
  10. The fact that the game was moved to a wednesday night has an effect, but I know plenty of season ticket holders who are so turned off my the style of play that they just can't be arsed to make that extra bit of effort this year. Getting a 0-0 draw against that United team was the bare minimum. Anyone who thinks we will beat stoke is delusional atm, no goal at home in over 6 hours of play, no home wins in the league all season. He is a dead man walking in my honest opinion. I truly think that any half decent manager would have matched Puel this year. The cup final was the only thing that stood out, and we lost it.... when once again we should have won. I'll give him time, but not much more. And no goals and no wins from united and stoke at home will see him gone i think.
  11. Not being picky or at all demanding then are you... Think about what you just wrote.

    Striker Sale

It means that they've only had bench appearances all season in deference to the other 2.... Pretty much as simple as that.... An in a system that is built specifically for finishers.
  13. Silva is not the answer.
  14. Boufal needs glasses? that explains the lack of passing...
  15. I hear what you're saying, but technically Corbyn is Labour at the moment.
  16. I'm A3 B2
  17. So without reading through pages of peoples different politcal idealogies... What is the consensus on here? Question A - what do you think will happen? A1. Corbyn Win? A2. Similar to now? A3. Tory Win? Question B - Who do you want to win? B1. Corbyn B2. Tories B3. Total Apathy
  18. CS did to CR, what LR did to NC.

I have noted the following: Ever since Tadic's strop about being subbed, Tadic has been the main man. Sadly he often goes missing in games and we are regularly playing with 10men. I would rather see Boufal given the freedom to do what he wants than Tadic, as Boufal tries. Once we go behind, Puel immediately switches to a variant of 4-4-2 by taking JWP off and effectively surrendering the middle of the pitch. The result is Romeu and Davis (who run their socks off all game and are tiring by 70min), are overwhelmed in the middle and we struggle to dictate the game, feed the strikers, and keep the ball. The result is we get tonked worse, and usually don't create much. Puel has done this repeatedly and shows no sign of changing it or learning the lesson. I would rather see us go 3-4-3 in these situations. We have no alternate way to play, gabbi can not hold the ball up and our only way to play is via individual players creating an opening and driving forward. Other than that it is slow, tedious, and predictable sideways passing. I would give Puel till Christmas (as a maximum) to fix this. I know he had slow starts at his other clubs and came good. So i will give him that. But currently I am not remotely impressed and would not be too sad to see him go this summer.
  20. I think there are more disgraceful things?
  21. Well said Angleman, CaptainChris' post is probably the biggest lump of bullturd I've read on here. Its one thing for fans to be unhappy with how the team is atm... but the amount of crap the short terms lash out with is unbelievable.
  22. Quite. Can't imagine what measly offers we'd have had this year given his contract situation. People forget he is Liverpool's record transfer outlay I think.
  23. People need to get a ****ing seriously stronghold of their ball sacks. He is either here next season (I think he will be), or we will be holding onto a massive wodge load of cash... Either way, we're laughing!!!

Well said (apart from the relegation part). When you add it all together (cost, time and effort vs reward), its not really been a cost effective season for ST holders. Especially given the number of moved fixtures. Its nearly a 5 hour round trip for me, and with games being played on wednesday nights it becomes a nightmare justifying the cost! At least next year I won't have to do it for extra european nights as well!!
  25. The laffer curve is correct. The issue is that no one ever knows where we are on the curve; and no matter what you change, the minority will always shout loudest. Cold hard maths and human nature never combine well.
