  2. Fair enough, but we have spent most of that time higher up than them in the league so you'd sort of expect us to average better attendances. I've always thought of us as a bigger club than Portsmouth, and I don't know how anyone in their right mind could question that, but I'd say we're about on a level with Brighton at the moment. Similar support, new stadiums, good owners, moving up the leagues - perhaps we're a nose in front but no more.
  3. I thought there were some fair points in there, like this bloke: "The dell held 30,000 in its day and yet before St Marys, Saints had just one 30,000 crowd, Brighton, palace and pompey numerous. Brighton had bigger gates in the 70s and 80s because they had more punters through the turnstile, not because saints couldnt get them in, saints could, they just didnt, despite being in a higher division than us. When Brighton and palace were getting 25000/30000 crowds, saints were getting about 17000 and were a plucky underdog. Saints have come a long way since mind you but still only rarely get a 30K crowd and knock about between 20,000 to 25,000. This a long way from a west ham, which is a step up from the Brighton's, palace's, pompey's and saints of this world."
  4. It would be depressing - another nail in the coffin of popular community sport.
  5. :-)
  6. It's b0ll0x, we're not reliant on them. How many goals and assists has Guly chipped in with in the last few games? He's our best performing forward currently.
  7. That's not proof - they have to actually make money on it first for it to prove anything.
  8. There should be a reality show experiment that answers these questions.

  10. Thanks for the tip, I'll bear that in mind.
  11. He could say he'd never go back to Celtic - that would be a way of pushing a move through. He's keeping his options open.
  12. I think Davis has been absolutely outstanding this season. Wouldn't want anyone else between the sticks.
  13. Are you mad
  14. Yes but Leicester spent 20 million quid.
  15. Palace are playing their kids and they're third in the league.
  16. Confucious he say, Lallana we need for boro.
  17. I thought Kelvin was absolutely outstanding today, several really top drawer saves and commanded the box really well. Fantastic display.
  18. I think you're no longer a member because you were wrong and it's hard to take. You still seem plenty keen on bickering actively.
  19. Yeah, lets focus on the full 90 minutes at least.
  20. Lawrie Mac and Chris Nicholl are still my faves.
  21. Derby score against reading
  22. He's on record as saying he'll pack the midfield - could be bluff of course, but I think you're right they'll try to stop us playing and hope to nick something.
  23. Can I just say Bring back Baron Greenback thankyou
  24. Which is why he's a good loan signing. Hopefully Seabourne will play for Saints again though, so unless Hooiveld is better than Seabourne there'd be no point in signing him permanently.
  25. Is he any better than Seabourne? If not I can't see the point in signing him permanently.
