You mean you're going to have a ****
-
True, but it's still a valid point that we haven't played any of the sides that are really challenging for promotion yet, and after 8 games this is a bit of a statistical anomaly, and can't just be accounted for by the fact that if we beat teams they have fewer points than they would otherwise have had. To my mind the only really decent team we have played up till now have been Leicester - where were unlucky not to come away with something. It'll be really interesting to see how we do at Cardiff.

I know you said that pre-season, and fair enough no-one knew what was going to happen and where we'd finish - you might've been right. You don't really still believe we're going to finish 17th though do you? You're just clinging on out of misguided stubbornness - let go, feel the force Dalek.

******, I'd love one or two of them but 70 is streching it.
-
I've only seen the second half but Leeds look really poor.
-
Seriously, if he was reffing us I'd be well hacked off
-
That ref needs to get a grip - every time someone falls over it's a yellow card

Srtictly speaking this is Burnley build up but I want to share. They seem to be fielding, bar Austin, more or less a full strength team against MK Dons today and are currently 0-1 down at home :-)

Is David Connolly, 34, better than Kevin Phillips, 38?
Danbert replied to Giordano's topic in The Saints
Yeah, I heard that too - made me wonder. -
Nice - thanks v. much for posting those
-
The way we play I can't see us drawing many games. I reckon we should win four or five of those.

Tops - thanks for that.

If it's not being televised then surely it won't be available online. Where will they get the feed from?

Started reading the article, which is in reverse order. The first 5 entries (numbers 50-46) all have a Saints connection. Perhaps the journo is a Saints fan?

Of course we don't "need" one. We can perfectly well turn out a decent 11 without brining in new players. It's a question of whether it's worth forking out a 6 figure sum on someone. If it's an over-priced primadonna of dubious ability then no. If it's a young up-coming player who'd improve the team and we can afford them then obviously. It all depends on the deal. Given the fact that neither Lambert or Conolly cost anything like what the players we're being linked with are said to be worth and both seem eminently capable of doing a job in this division I'd be keeping my chequebook in my pocket.

Given that he's "not an accountant" how much credence do you set by the 1.4 million figure? If they're really sitting on that sort of money how come none got spent in the transfer window?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2011/sep/06/ailing-bournemouth-difficult-year "The club has still not managed to go a calendar year without being hit by a county court judgement..."

Well I'm glad you're not our Chairman. McLaren is a joke manager along with those other wonderful Middlesbrough appointments Bryan Robson and Gareth Southgate. They only need Avram Baron Von Greenback Grant to complete the set.
-
That's not the way I read it. The "adds something different" part definitely applies to what he'll be bringing to Saints. I doubt if Adkins intended any criticism but I've seen both Martin and Seabourne pick the wrong pass or lose the ball when under pressure. I find it interesting that he was lent out to FC Copenhagen. They're a decent club who play a passing game.

Which striker could you realistically see us getting on the Bus next week?
Danbert replied to AndyD's topic in The Saints
:-) This.
