Until we can compete with CL teams on wages and bonuses, that will never happen. It's just an indication of how the CL has polluted and corrupted the 'beautiful game'.
-
A player who has had his head turned by being picked for his country and having £5million a year dangled under his nose by arguably the 'biggest club in the world'. How on Earth were we supposed to compete ? ( Notwithstanding the £30 million plus transfer fee ).
-
Does this mean that RK has approved all of these moves ?

How will Man Utd fare with the same set of circumstances ?
-
Lambert went to Liverpool to live out his boyhood dream and will get a 'last hurrah' chance at the CL. Shaw is going to ManU for absolutely bloody STUPID money. Lallana may well go to Liverpool, again for a chance at the CL ( and the club getting another massive wedge ), and maybe even Lovren to a CL team ( be it the scousers or Barca ); but where would Clyne, Wanyama, or Rodriguez go that gives them the same career and financial boost ? Why can't they stay at Saints and push for the top 6 ?

Pretty much this.

will we see Suarez in our first match? (Answer: No.)

I like all the stories of people who had apparently placed bets on Suarez to bite an opponent at the tournament. -

"No Planes Hit The Twin Towers" claims ex-CIA agent
badgerx16 replied to SO16_Saint's topic in The Lounge
The thermals and smoke from the fires would have made it suicidal to try, plus the roof access doors were locked. ( Not sure even Hollywood could write a script with a believable flight into this ) "These doors were locked by order of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), owner of the Trade Center. They were locked in part because of concerns about suicides, daredevil stunts and possible theft or vandalism of the millions of dollars worth of broadcasting equipment on the roof. Locking the doors also effectively barred any possibility of a rooftop rescue. Authorization and the means to unlock those heavy steel doors came from a security center located on the 22nd floor. But the security center wasn’t able to help. Falling debris knocked it out almost as soon as the first airliner hit the tower. . . ." http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=203297 -
Wood floats, steel doesn't. The moment they switched from building ships out of the former and using the latter they were heading for trouble.

Doesn't explain this one though [video=youtube;4q5nE-k0tUQ] -
Yep, that seems an accurate assessment of pompey's chances for next season.

So that's Ronald, Erwin, AND Edwin ?

I think we should try and pinch that Lallana lad before the Scousers sign him up.

Absolutely this.

If it is Tuchel, maybe the 'paperwork' was discussion with Mainz over compensation ? http://www.bundesliga.com/en/liga/news/2013/0000294912.php "Tuchel will neither receive a salary from the club, who have already appointed ex-FC Nordsjælland tactician Kasper Hjulmand as his successor, nor be in a position to take on a new job elsewhere without the 05ers' explicit permission, until his existing deal expires on 30 June 2015. Any club looking to appoint the 40-year-old in the meantime would have to recompense Mainz for his services."

Yesterday's 'entertainment' :

I just wish that somewhere in the media they would acknowledge that Britsh and Allied forces were also busy fighting elsewhere on that day; as well as the above mentioned Russians, Rome was 'liberated' the day before by the US 5th Army, fighting alongside our own 8th Army; plus there has always been the 'forgotten' 14th Army, ( including my Grandad ), fighting the Japanese. D-Day gives a nice focus for ceremony and celebration, and was a brilliantly executed move, but I feel the coverage and reporting does a dis-service to many other brave men and women.

He's out of contract, but under 23 so it will be a tribunal fee to Blackpool if he joins a Premier League team.
