First priority is sorting the dressing room problems reported in The Times the other week. That will probably mean selling Boufal and maybe others. The manager is important but he can only do so much if that tension lingers in the squad.
Assuming we can do that then I think Hughes is the sensible appointment. There might be better managers out there but any change will risk more negative energy at St Mary's.
In terms of additions we need someone to lead the defence and a remodelled front line. After that it depends who goes.
I like Liverpool and hope they win it, but it would be galling to see Lovren lift the Champions League. Just glad it's Salah and not Mane who's turned into God.
Our referees are doing well in a very tough, thankless job. I don't think they're biased but you do see them cowed at the big grounds occasionally. I don't think that applied yesterday.
Nothing says 'negative' like starting with two strikers!
We never looked like winning that game but it could have been a lot worse. Lemina shouldn't play again this season.
Better players, better football, more jobs at the club, more coverage and analysis (albeit still not much), beating the big teams and much better chances of getting to Europe or winning a cup.
Good points which aren't made often enough. Fans demanding we select a team of PASSIONATE BLOKES WHO GIVE THEIR ALL shouldn't be picking Austin, really. We'll pick him because he's still the best choice we've got.
