  1. 'and you know what I did to David Platt, just think about it'
  2. Forever in his gratitude
  3. I think that it is probably more dangerous to splash out on 6 new players and then try to integrate them at once. I think just three players, a striker, a midfielder and a CB should make sure we stay up. Staying up s the sum of my ambitions.
  4. With the exception of the great MLT we are always better off with a striker who scores 15 goals a season than somebody who scores 20. You have a chance of keeping the 15 goal a season player.
  5. I really hope that those that have slated Matthew Le Tissier and sided with Cortese can now appreciate why to many of us he is such an idol. Loyalty is a very special commodity.
  6. That is very funny. The black humour in times of adversity. Or maybe he has just asked all those who want to stay report out on the training pitch
  7. I thought maybe 'we're on the road to nowhere'
  8. What surprises me is who is advising these people. Adam Lallana has gone from local hero to badge kissing Judas. He could easily have carried on kissing his badge in public and quietly manoeuvred a move behind the scenes. None of us would begrudge him a move to Liverpool (most of us are realistic) if he had conducted himself in the right way without moaning to the press.
  9. Being from Hampshire many of us have some connection with those that liberated the Islands from Fascism. Being British most of us believe in the principle of self determination. Being intelligent means that you understand that the unpalatable principle of colonization requires an unwilling indigenous population.
  10. You understate the impact to the Germans of having to fight on two fronts and just how close the Russian front door was to being kicked and bringing down the whole rotten house. I think you also ignore the significance of the landings on the relationship between the US and us and the confidence it gave us as a nation that we could go on and beat Germany - that is why we still celebrate it so enthusiastically today.
  11. Churchill was keen as well if I recall. Would have stopped the Cold War.
  12. I like that a lot.
  13. One of the success stories of our neighbours was Yakubo. He had bags of pace and the right ball would split a defence and he would score a hat full of goals. I always thought we would do this with Mayuka.
  14. http://news.sky.com/story/1276981/d-day-veterans-great-escape-from-care-home Love it
  15. Of the 4,126 landing craft involved, 805 were American and 3,261 were British.
  16. Totally agree. It is only interesting in the later stages. If Clubs were not so greedy it would be a straight knockout competition and it would be very exciting.
  17. Have to say that really riled me. Judge Adam Lallana on what he has done for our club. I like him and he is a good footballing role model for my son. Shame I got his name on his shirt though.
  18. 12 months ago he was an amazing manager that's why Man U took him on. Taking Moyes on will provide stability even if we do not make Champions league football. We are never going to make Champions league football and if we do then our team will once again be dismantled.
  19. If you opt for somebody like Moyes it is unlikely that he will move again without serious consideration.
  20. The trouble with Koeman is that if he enjoys any success with us then he will simply join another 'bigger' club.
  21. Like watching your wife arriving at some bloke with a bigger cars, house
  22. That is great news.
