Thought the loan window had closed? I suppose January isn't far away.

I'd get in trouble with the wife if I started throwing darts or basketballs around the living room.

You stock up when you see it on offer, yes. How are you going to do that with football, you can't stockpile tickets?

The airline flying them to Germany for their match tomorrow has gone bust, so they are stuck at the airport waiting for another plane to be sent. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/3947178.Pompey_players_stranded_at_Southampton_Airport/

Can't have announced it today, as there was a thread about this a couple of days ago. Edit: In fact, that thread is only about half a dozen below this one.

Obviously they don't have a divisional structure in the same way that we do in this country, as all the conferences in the NBA are technically at the same level, but that was a 'top flight' game.
-
If we'd drawn Coventry we'd have dropped the prices to about £15 though, as we have in past years. Presumably for Man U we'll charge the same (or more) as for regular fixtures.

Am I the only fan who isn't hugely bothered about this match?
-
Yeah but it's all going to be self-financing through the property development side of things, don't you know......

Is there an echo in here?

Do you go to the same hairdresser as Baj?

I think that's the point. They've chosen an easy number to start with, which they will increase over time. I'd start with 6 or 7 personally.

Just means they have to have been playing in this country for at least three years before their 21st birthday. So the young players Arsenal, Liverpool etc sign from abroad when they are 16 would be ok. What they would have to stop doing though, is sending them to a feeder club in Belgium etc for a few years to develop. If you take our 16 from last night: Kelvin Davis - Qualifies Chris Perry - Qualifies Lloyd James - Isn't 21 yet so not sure how that works. I assume he'd qualify. Jack Cork - Not 21 yet Matthew Paterson - Not 21 yet Rudi Skacel - Doesn't qualify Morgan Schneiderlin - Doesn't qualify Adam Lallana - Not 21 yet Andrew Surman - Qualifies Bradley Wright-Phillips - Qualifies Jordan Robertson - Not 21 yet David McGoldrick - Will be 21 on Saturday, would qualify Alex Pearce - Not 21 yet Tommy Forecast - Just turned 21, should qualify but according to Soccerbase hasn't been a pro for 3 years yet Paul Wotton - Qualifies Romain Gasmi - Doesn't qualify Matthew Paterson - Not 21 yet So interestingly, if you apply the letter of the law, only 5 of our squad from last night would qualify. I'm sure they will have something in place for under 21's. Of those 5, only Surman came through our academy.

I mean it's not working in the sense that crowds are pitiful. You are probably right when you say that improved performances will cause increased crowds. But what happens if we don't get improved performances? Being a table-topping team isn't the only way of getting decent crowds to come and watch you. Other clubs manage it. But there is a sense of apathy surrounding Southampton. As far as I can see, little or no effort is being put into making people 'want' to go and watch Saints.
-
No offence, but that exactly the 'sit back and wait' approach that the club have been employing so far. It doesn't seem to be working does it.
-
In order for us to survive long term, the club need to make some serious efforts to get fans coming back to matches. Otherwise, sales in January are just a sticking plaster over a gaping wound.
-
I wonder if many clubs would fail that test at the minute?
-
By 'redevelop Fratton Park', I meant build shops and houses on it.
-
What about men who call girls mate?
-
Interesting that they are going to apply for planning permission to redevelop Fratton Park in a few weeks, yet aren't going to submit the application for the new ground until next spring. I presume something will be put into place to stop them doing one but not the other?

That's ok, it gets dark just after lunchtime in Bath.

Don't think there was any need for that, it was a simple question.

Do HMRC allow people to claim expenses for their travel into work?

In 30 replies, and some long winded ones at that, no-one has actually answered the question posed by Dog. It's next Monday, by the way........
