KL must have done something right to make Alpine vaguely happy. Hopefully we can have another preseason in the alps as a reward to your cheeriness, i salute you sir! Key words for me was "running the club properly" suggest that someone was not happy about the gut doing it before. My thoughts are that these are welcome words, not to much blah, blah. Obviously we have to wait to see what actions follow these up but a good start.

I am interested to know what he thinks, but I dont think you will ever find out, but I bet a little smile came across his face when he heard the news.

This has to be.one of the most entertaining failures of all time, from FA cup to relegation from the football league in a few season, all the while denying the wrong doing, and ignoring the facts. I would feel bad for them if it was not so funny.

I think you will find that Ottumwa, Iowa is the meth capital of the world thanks to the sister of the actor Tom Arnold. I fortunately live in a nicer part of Iowa. We dont get that much rain but its bloody cold.

Much better than Clattenburg.

Could you bubble a game in london? No that would be stupid, but the only time I saw trouble first hand was between spurs and chelsea supporters.

It almost sounds as if they are inviting a bit of arson to get the insurance payout.....

I didnt think Adkins should have gone, but this is Cortese we are talking about, we know he is capable. We are halfwayish and 9th looks pretty good. But if our current form continues we will be in the bottom half soon enough. Except Lovern the new signings havent excatly set the world alight. Some of those early wins against top sides were the result of a lot of hard work, and the players dont look capable of repeating that right now. I thought we could get amongst the top teams this year after our early performances, but I think that false dawn is now coming back to bite us by over excurtion. It will be interesting to see how the team bounce back as the fixture callender eases up. If they dont we might just be welcoming a new face to st Marys, but someone will be waiting in the wings again so it will be a few weeks from the time the decision is made till the plug is pulled.

I am a wishy washy liberal but the longer I live in the US the more English I feel. I could never support the USA instead of England in any sporting event, and I am working on making my kids do the same in opposition to my wifes rabid attempts to claim them for Mexico.

I remember the massive bloke behind me at Spurs who kept putting his hands on my shoulders everytime something happened. That I could have lived without.

I was suprised when George Michael came out, I thought he had been out for years. Best comment I ever heard was from a colleague I had. He said " I never came out, becaus I don't ever think I was in"

I think teams would be happy to visit Fratton Park, not intimidated with the points they are giving up, maybe "raising their game" is because they smell blood in the water.....

I don't understand why he didn't just put it out once he was clearly in trouble.

From now on I am going to educate people to not steal my bike instead of buying a lock for it, as the article suggests.

"Ooooooohhhhhh you put your left leg in your right leg ....."

When Gaston came on he didn't seem to adopt the same position as what he replaced and didn't press like the others which is what seemed to allow them to come on. I almost feel like Gaston was given the chance to prove he could make the difference but instead of increasing our attacking options diminished it. He was given the chance to prove his worth to us, but didn't. I don't think he will figure much now as he let down the boss.

I think the only reason it is popular is proximity and accesability. You get the people who support the college they attended I guess in away I am the same as that is how I ended up a saint. Teams that are located near profesional sports teams get nowhere near the level of antention that say Iowa do out here, plus you get some geograhic rivalry that franchised teams can't match. I do not watch much college sport, occasionally watch Iowa football (Iowa being my second university) but never basketball they are awful most years. If we got a major league team in say Des Moines you could see the college sports slowly diminish in prominence, but that is not going to happen and traveling else where in the US you can see its not as important outside the midwest and south. - - - Updated - - - I think the only reason it is popular is proximity and accesability. Oh you people depress me some times. Is this a definitative tool for identifying a final position? No, it is a model, and with all models there have to be some assumptions, the assumption here is that each team will perform similiarly to how they did last year and then give a comparative position. This obviously breaks down when teams do dramatically different than last year, and they would then be given a projected finish way off if THIS YEARS form is dramatically different, however to rule out this approach makes the assumption that thing will carry on as they are this year and FORM TO DATE will continue for the entire year, this simplifies by suggesting all future matches will be like the previous ones, except they are against different teams and different venues which do effect results. All models use an assumption that the past can help indicate the future, but on that basis we would end up with last years table, obviously not helpful. The most interesting observation I find from it is that Arsenal look to be doing well in the league table but comparitively badly when judged against last year, so which Arsenal will we have come the end of the year? The two anamolous results in the final table right now would appear to be Southampton and Man Utd, who are having dramatically different seasons than last year, so far. The way I look at this model is similair to the concept of Par in golf where par is how we did last year. Different models tell us different things, no one way of looking at the data will tell us conclusively the shape of the future but a snapshot of what it might look like given this set of assumptions. A different set of assumptions tells us a different snapshot. With all these analysis methods the accuracy improves with more data. What it does say is we are doing much better than last year. I am not sure if you are all on a wind up becuase it is MLG or if you were not understanding its usefulness and limitations. I am a scientist and like fitting data to models so I find this fun. I can understand why others do not trust this approach. Lies, damn lies and statistics. But is there a better way of way of measuring stuff than statistics? Most bad statistics are used by liers wanting to prove a point which is not valid by cheery picking the statistics or using misleading data sets. People are a little entrenched out here, the time is probably good here because it is mostly on before college football starts, and as there is no professional teams within 3 hours its all college sport. However attempts to engage the locals about soccer largely meets with derision. So it is probably just the few ex-pats like me that is watching it, however as a participation sport it is booming amongst the kids, mainly because of the simplicity of the game in equipment. Hopefully this can lead to an interest in watching too I have toyed with the idea of starting a adult team here but there are currently insufficient people.

To me he doesn't look happy when forced wide. He doesn't try to beat the man on the outside or look like he is putting in much effort to cross more often looking just to get a corner. An area in which ricky excels at. Where he comes alive is with the ball at his feet in shooting distane where he can create a chance for himself.

Back when I lived in Southampton they use to shove the free add paper through the door, for some reason the massages services used descriptions such as "busty" "blue eyes" and "very friendly" I suppose the internet killed that off.

Osvaldo's Ex causing trouble?
Mystic Force replied to There when Franny scored's topic in The Saints
Hopefully looking at some new forest ponies will improve his mood before the game. Thats why he came here, right? -
Local high school $5, Des moines menace $9 (development league, college players that cant earn money because of NCAA rules getting extra time to play, about conference level) and chicago fire $27 + about L1 level.

I heard Luke Shaw likes this top end restraunt called Nandos.

It isn't Osvaldo's touches that have been the issue it is his shooting. I am just looking foward to them working together as a unit better and him to get a few go in. It must be bothering all of them that they can't get it in. The player I am most impressed by is Steve Davis he always does a good job of defending behind the front player in a way Gaston won't but still links things up. The amount we ended up paying rangers was an absolute steal. He will never have Gaston touch but Gaston hasn't learnt what to do with it yet.
