be a waste of a tenner really. Cardiff are around 80% gone. Brighton and Burnley the only other alternatives. Yes, we are on 33 like Burnley and Brighton but when you take into account our fixtures plus our resurgence under Ralph then we really aren't in the mix.
-
They were 2-0 up. Now Celta Vigo losing 3-2 in like 10 minutes.
-
Wouldn’t be so sure Koeman left us in 6th place after all. It is only a good thing if managers and players alike leave us for a top 6/big club, providing we get decent fee too.
-
yeah- remember hearing from Hasenhuttl that the fact Krueger could speak German too helped or something along those lines...
-
the team I would play, think a back 3 again to keep it compact against the pace that is Salah and Mane. Gunn ---------Yoshida Bednarek Vestergaard Valery--- --Romeu----------PEH--------Bertrand -------------JWP-----------Armstrong---------- -------------------Redmond-------------------------- a 3421. However, if no Vestergaard then 4 at the back with Sims on and go for it.
-
Harsh on Cardiff that, yes. However if that plays a big part in securing our safety then I am all for it, howeevr selfish that sounds. Although, being the southerner I am, I would far prefer Burnley to go down instead of Cardiff!!!

I prefer Lemina to Romeu tbf in a Centre Mid (CM) role. In CDM, then yeah Romeu is better. I just feel like Lemina is a BTEC Pogba, and that is not so much an insult. A Lemina at his best has far more potential to make an impact both defensively and offensively than the other 3 at their best, barring JWP's set pieces.

I have only seen the scoreline/timing of goals, but Denmark were losing 3-0 and came back to draw 3-3 in the last 10 minutes of the game- when PEH came on as a late sub

Crimes against humanity, or simple black-market boot-legging?

because of the outdated view that it will damage attendances and grass-roots football. I'd say, in some cases anyway, it's ticket pricing that would affect attendances, not because a game is aired live on TV. -
not if he keeps up his current form.
-
and the other time, home to Newcastle, he shoots when he should have squared it to Charlie instead!!!
-
that isn't true. they are both fighting for 7th place, which is 90% likely to get you a Europa League spot. I can't speak for their fixture lists tbf, but I'd say it is very probable that City will take the FA Cup, meaning Watford/Wolves should really go for 7th as their likeliest route to Europe next season.

it will definitely be midweek sometime I'd guess. Hopefully in April rather than May anyway- the Easter Holiday might make it easier to take kids.

How likely are English teams to meet in the CL quarters
nta786 replied to Singapore Saint's topic in General Sports
1971 apparently. anyway draw been made. i do think its slightly suspicious how the 4 favourites for the trophy have been kept apart, if i was a conspiracist. Ajax vs Juve Liverpool vs Porto Spurs vs City Barcelona vs Man United -
I think from what I remember, we received £34.5 million for Mane with bonus clauses that could mean it rises to £38.5 million. No idea what the bonuses are, my guesses would involve PL appearances, goals and domestic trophy rather than European targets. I do not think VVD had any such bonus clauses, and whilst many band the £75m figure, I would say we received more in the region of around £65m as Celtic took a bit too

good tbh. need our best players for the run in working with Ralph over the break and not the England set up. Hopefully also means JWP/Redmond can remain focused on doing even better to try and get into the set up, if it isn't to be this time round. some questionable decisions with the squad, but tbh should be more than enough for games against Czech Republic and Montenegro.
-
he is basically our version of Jack Rodwell that Sunderland had to endure.
-
agreed, all our best players who are Under 23 really should start except Valery. I wonder if Fraser will be back in goal too. I even think Targett should come in if he is eligible, though I can't say how much that would effect confidence issues given the kids who have played regularly have obviously done wonderfully to be in this situation in the first place, Let's ensure we get that singular automatic promotion, the benefits are massive.

gamesmanship, google it. will never ever be eradicated.

I would not say that necessarily, if Spurs had taken some of their chances we could have been dead and buried, they deserved more than 1 in the 1st half. However, credit Ralph for the positive substitutions and in the end we got the rub of the green!
-
his instagram stories are purely french rap music and his wife/kids, where there is this hint of a playboy lifestyle. He has certainly built up a brand on there with the whole '#TonicLikeLeminade', which might be why some might perceive him to be less focused on football and more on social media! I think he is our best player when on song, almost like a Pogba-lite! He has this explosiveness about him as a box-to-box player, very dynamic, the only issue like many is consistency but he has shown he can shoot, can pick out a pass, the physicality and other aspects. The most valuable asset I would say we have too.

Why don't Saints attack the Northam in the second half ?

This is on our website... 'keep an eye out for last minute goals' -
I would give Neil Warnock manager of the season if he did keep them up tbf

debatable really I'd say- sometimes we look more tired after we play quick games in succession, and then other times it looks like when we don't play a competitive match for more than a week instead of expecting a freshened team, in the same vein, it's like we have forgotten how to play football. I would say that much of that debate depends on a number of factors, such as whether the break is one as a result of no game, or whether its an international break, the quality of the upcoming opposition and even the last few results preceding the break to determine the momentum. I don't think there is a clear cut answer!
