  1. Alex McCarthy would be a great signing, but he plays for Reading so probably a non-starter.
  2. This happened a few times today - people stopping in their tracks walking down the aisles because Saints were on the attack, thus blocking the view. If you have made the decision to leave, please keep moving (at least to the entrance to the steps/concourse!)
  3. Had to chuckle at Diouf's reaction to the first boos of the day as he took a corner in front of the Chapel/Itchen corner - blowing a kiss to us all, bless him.
  4. A young couple broughts its very young baby into the Itchen South, sitting a couple of rows in front of us - (s)he was a little cracker and seemed to be unfazed by both goal celebrations!
  5. During the second half, I'm sure everyone noticed Pascal Chimbonda and Billy Sharp coming together after the former said something to Billy. One wonders what it was, as it appeared to affect him for several minutes afterwards, seemed to be visibly angry... As for the gloves on Mr C.......
  6. Aye - have to say at least two were debatable though, and one of those, well.......
  7. Forgot that one Hasn't Harding given one away this year as well - might be wrong though?
  8. Nine pens for the Saints off the top of my head 1 Birmingham (H) 2 & 3 Watford (H) 4 & 5 Brighton (H) 6 Cardiff (H) 7 Watford (A) 8 & 9 Millwall (A) Can only think of 2 against, West Ham and possibly Palace in the Cup?
  9. Probably the same thing that the Carlisle CB was thinking about in the JPT Final! Is that Lambert behind Guly? (the legs)
  10. I had just walked out of the Yeovil/Walsall game (Oliver Lancashire was poor BTW!) and checked the phone for the final score (knew it went to 2-2). Got a few curious looks from the people around me after I shouted "Lambert you f****n beauty!
  11. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8028366.stm "Needs someone to take a gamble on me" Thank you Saints for taking that gamble!
  12. Can't see Henderson displacing Green this season, however next season he could be their No.1 as Green is out of contract then. Mullins, if he goes to Reading won't get into its team straight away either. Joel Ward would be a decent signing, but he seems Pompey through and through, and he rejected the chance to leave in January as well.
  13. Could he be a realistic target?
  14. Have they any decent youth prospects - or did its only one head up to Liverpool a couple of weeks ago?
  15. 30 years of age. Used to live in Yeovil and was one of only 2/3 Saints fans in Secondary School, but now live in Fair Oak. First game was March 1994 at The Dell, lost 1-3 to Oldham, Benali scored a brilliant own-goal. My first away game was against Charlton in 2009/10, drew 1-1. Now a STH in the Itchen, since 2009/10.
  16. I like the Lancaster with its four Merlins, but the Mossie was just right with two
  17. Not my clip, but was impressive to see live - Vulcan overshoot (with a West Country accent)...
  18. Not as good as a de Havilland Mosquito - that sounds like two Spitfires strapped together!
  19. I tried the alternative number and it came up with a fault, but got through on next attempt. Therefore, persevere a few times if you come across this....
  20. Got held up in every way possible en route, but bumped into Rickie, Kelvin and Dan Harding just after we arrived! The three of them signed the nipper's book and we congratulated them on the result - Rickie was beaming! Obviously big thanks must go to all three of them for stopping and having a quick chat before heading home
  21. Thanks guys. I have a young man here who has found details of a Flybe flight from Leeds arriving tonight and is insisting we take him to the Airport!
  22. Do you think they'll fly back to SOU/Bournemouth tonight, or stay overnight up in Leeds?
  23. If anyone sky+ the game, I am pretty sure Warnock was "f-ing and blinding" at the final whistle, the camera audio picked it up clearly just after the handshake. Not sure whom he was berating
  24. B. Saints are currently 5 points ahead of 3rd place today (Reading), and if Pompey were to fold in three minutes time, Saints would be 6 points ahead of third (West Ham). Therefore, Saints (as it stands) would not gain any substantial advantage if Pompey did fold as others will move up into West Ham's place, maintaining the existing point differences. Despite losing those six points, West Ham would actually gain an extra game in hand over Saints if my maths is correct?
