Mental health issues are getting a lot of media coverage these days and rightly so, but it appears that our Government are still not funding it properly. My wife has been in a programme since last year that has been helpful but sporadic and not really as committed as it should be. Fortunately she is in a much better place now, which is just as well. If you aren’t suicidal you have to wait for weeks/months in between sessions. She has one final session to go in her current course but has been told that this is the last one as there is no more funding available for this particular course. There are 6 other people on the course and my wife says that none of the others are doing well at all and are all struggling with depression and anxiety. A couple of them have been signed off work long term. What will happen to them she doesn’t know. Her counsellor is very upset about it too, as you can imagine. The corona virus is a problem, but not as big a problem as mental health. I had some issues a few years back but was fortunate enough to have private health insurance. When that ran out I was able to afford to pay for private sessions myself so haven’t used the NHS much. When I did a couple of years ago, the staff were committed and helpful but were clearly unable to meet the demand, so sessions were limited. Anyone else finding that the NHS can’t cope with amount of mental health issues they have to deal with?

What about the many outright rapes that he allegedly committed. Did those help career progression too?

Get off your arse and do something or sit behind your keyboard and snipe. Not really a strange few months at all, just same old same old.

Played for Chelsea and England and has an MBE, but still Duckie knows more about football than she does because he has a penis, apparently.

Have you bothered to read anything published by his many victims? You really are a dinosaur.

Long has scored as many as JRod this season. Does it really matter who scores so long as you win? He does more than enough work to justify his place in the Premier league.

So Priti Patel has told the police that there is no excuse for not cutting crime, this from the party who has decimated police numbers over the last decade whilst many types of crime have increased. When I worked at the CPS we were told the same. Despite the workload increasing and the staff numbers being cut annually we were told that we couldn’t use staff cuts as an “excuse” for not reaching our targets. Perhaps the people responsible for running the Criminal Justice System, the Home Office, should start taking responsibility for their own actions rather than hanging depleted work forces out to dry. -
Obama and Clinton have joined the #metoo movement???

Two people wearing face masks in my local supermarket yesterday. You can’t be too careful!

Didn’t she give him his knighthood?

Football is all about winning and the three points. If you can do that in an entertaining way it is a bonus. There is not one person here who wouldn’t have traded a few wins in our poor patch for crap football earlier in the season. Burnley do what they need to do to survive and they are good at it. It is down to teams to beat them. They will go down eventually, but then so will many teams outside the top six.

Good to see the guilty verdicts although I don’t understand how he avoided the predatory charge. It’s incredible that he got away with so much for so long, but hopefully this will help put an end to serial abusers getting away scot free.

I think that there will be a few goals in this game. Given our away form I am going for a 3-2 win with Adams to finally break his duck.

Saw Little Women recently and it was excellent as was Emma.

No your right, I guess we are all hoping that it will be bought by a ring wing billionaire. After all, they can’t have too much control of the media can they? -

As well as going after the BBC, it appears that Johnson is now looking to privatise Channel 4. Cross Johnson at your peril. -
Plasters are now apparently being provided in different skin tone colours. Now as much as I take some effort in co-ordinating my wardrobe, I really don’t give a stuff about the colour something is that I stick on my skin to stop blood seeping out. I suppose I should be happy, at least I will be able to get something to match my skin tone when I get a sun tan.

The BBC has the impossible task of being all things to all people. We have to accept that money will be spent on things that we personally think is a waste, but others won't. They are in a no win situation but as a public service, they have to provide just that. At 42p a day though I don’t think we can complain too much about the cost for what they provide.

I have a neighbour from hell who is a West Ham fan so it would be great to add a nail to their Premiership coffin. That and to get one over on “Winner” Moyes.

The Sun lost £68m last year. Yay!

Are we the only ones allowed to criticise our club? I have seen plenty of criticism on here about our home support. We can dish it out but we can’t take it. As mentioned, even when we had four consecutive top ten finishes and a great performance in a major cup final the flak was flying towards the club from our own supporters. The fact is, he isn’t wrong.

I thought the right wing types were all for the Great British institutions. Apparently not.
