The premier league money is consumed in mostly by wages and contract renewals (which are mega expensive) everytime the TV deal goes up all that really happens is wages adjust to compensate and agents take a bigger chunk of everything! Whats the alternative? Find a sugar daddy who will bend the rules ala Man City's dubious sponsorship deals and hope they don't a get bored and leave us in the lurch or b) turn out to be chancers? We have always and will always be a small club in premiership terms which makes us one of the richest clubs in Europe so I would expect us to continue much as we have done and we will have good periods like the one thats just finished and bad periods like the one that has just started some transfers will work others won't, sometimes we will sneak into the top 6(ish) and sometimes we will flirt with relegation that is the way it is for every club in the country except the chosen few at the top. We as fans just need to accept this and try and enjoy the experience Les and Ralph are doing the best they can, neither will be here forever and both are a step up on Lowe! If Gao keeps his mouth shut and his hand out of the till then for me he is doing a decent job as owner the club should be self sufficient and if premier league football is not achievable on that basis then so be it. The only thing I'd really like is to win a cup it's such a shame that one of the most successful periods in the clubs history has come to an end without us gaining any silverware to put in the trophy cabinet and FA cup would have been just reward for the clubs performance in recent seasons.

He's a fantastic player and we are lucky to have him! If you corrected all his 'faults' then he would be Salah or De Bruyne good and would have left long ago. His the perfect example of one of the two sorts of player we need to buy ie those that we get cheap improve and sell for a profit and those that we get that are just below that level but hang around and form the back bone of our squad. The club should do everything possible to ensure Dusan stays put.

He might want to jeopardise it for 100K a week this season could well have been a flash in the pan if I was him I'd look to cash in as soon as possible it is a short career and you never know particularly as a keeper when you will fall from favour!

I'd be quite happy if the owner never said anything publicly and left the running of the football club to knowledgeable professionals, it's the second bit he's got wrong at the minute!

Depends if you're reading it as the three best players or the three best signings, if the later then Davis is a contender he has played a significant part in our success and arrived at the club at a time when we really needed some experience, similarly Brouc has to be in contention for best sign as without him we would have been relegated that first season back.
