  1. Great deffensive header or not it was still a horrible horrible miss for one of the worlds best strikers, the ball should have been in the back of the net end of argument.
  2. Huddersfield are a very good side at this level so I wouldn't count your chickens just yet, if offered a point today I'd take it 3 would be a massive bonus I only hope this place isn't filled with doom come 5pm saturday if we haven't won.
  3. He won't sign an extension before the end of the season and in my mind he would be crazy too, he is easily good enough for a top Championship side and who knows beyond that. He will wait and see what happens to Saints and no doubt have a sniff to see who else is interested in him. Hopefully we will be promoted and he will want to stay to see if we can get back into the prem in double quick time, but then again he may decide he would rather sit on Evertons bench than continue to drive this team forward in the Championship.
  4. Huw Jennings is involved so I would expect them to be of a decent standard and be well organised and prepared.
  5. Indeed he did, as a teenager he also used to hang over the side of his stairs with his mum pulling on his legs as he hoped this would make him taller. For a world class goal keeper he is very short which is why Maradona beat him to that ball, had he been van de sar tall then the short argie tosser would never have got close. The thing that really cost us that game wasn't Maradona cheating it was the horrible miss by lineker in the dieing minutes, if he'd stuck that away we would have one the game as the Aregntinians were nowhere.
  6. The premier league have already confirmed that Liverpool will face no deduction as the club it's self is essentially financially sound, If they were not one of the biggest clubs in the world I'm not sure this argument would be allowed to stand allthough it worked for West Ham.

    Morgan

I'll believe that when he puts his signature on a new deal!
  8. Richards was good value at 8m when we sold him, I don't think even Rupes could have known the misfortune that would befall him. Old Rupes always got us good money for players who left, just a shame other than that he was a monumental ****.
  9. Good luck to him hope he gets on the pitch even if it's just a couple of minutes. He's been an outstanding servant of football and derserves the recognition.
  10. If that un-substantiated rummor is true then lock him up and throw away the key, anyone who would glass someone no matter how much they have had to drink is a scumbag of the highest order.
  11. I hope he's guilty of nothing more than being in the wrong place and the wrong time or worst case scenario knocking some guy out in an act of self deffence. He's been absolute quality for us this season and doesn't seem the type for this sort of thing, anyone know who was with him? If he is guilty then I'd follow the line of not wanting to see him in a saints shirt ever again, I wouldn't even want a transfer fee for him as it wold be tainted money in my book. I can't stand people who get drunk and start fights.
  12. The OS is bigging up Lee Holmes again so I'd expect to be seeing more of him in the first team which in my opinion is not a bad thing, the lad has a sweet left foot and his delivery could very well help get Lambert going again!

I think he will look a better player with Lallana in the team and Rickie looking like he might be getting his form back, he's clearly a clever player and needs to be playing with other players of a similar nature. I can see him and Adam building a decen understanding as they are on the same wave length football wise and hopefully that will drag a few others up to the same level.
  14. Oh how we could use a player who can deliver the ball from wide and a tigerish central midefielder who never gives up chases everything and gets stuck in. Tell me again why we let James and Gillett go in the summer?
  15. While it's difficult to say if we have THE best squad in the league it is certainly true to say we have ONE OF THE best squads in the league and certainly one which on paper should be nearer the top that the bottom. The lack of quality in the team certainly isn't the main reason we are almost propping up the table!
  16. Chamberlin is already in the first team, and Garrod has been on the bench alot recently. I don't think our accademy has lost it's way sadly we lost all the best products of it trying to avoid administration! I'm sure we will have some excellent prospects emerging soon but we shouldn't be looking on them to get us out of this league all clubs have to wait along time bettween talents like Walcott and Bale and the next batch emerging.
  17. I'm not going to follow the game it's to depressing at the moment, I shall simply get on with my day and hope for a pleasent surprise come 5pm. Fingers crossed the run starts here as I'm due to be at Hilsborough for the Wednesday game and would really love us to get one over on them!

  19. Don't think this will happen! He's not going to ask players to work like hell for 90 minutes then bus them two hours back to staplewood to work even more. Think of the injury risks and what littl he will learn about the players given there mental and physical state after a match and coach ride. If he does this and fonte or similar gets injured it would be unthinkable!
  20. He needs to give everyone a massive kick up the backside, our team is easily good enough to be in contention at the other end of the league! The performance and attitude thus far this season has been a joke!
  21. Given our terrible record of star players being 'out for 6 weeks for an op' never reappearing I shall not be holding my breath.
  22. I would wait with trepedation for the next publicity train wreck comming out of the club to destroy the elation.
  23. Last season I thought we had seen the end of the days when our club was dragged through the mud in the gutter press and everyone in the land knew more about our chairman than our first team. Sadly it looks like a return to the dark days when the only stories in the press were negative and our Chairman in becoming more well known than our star players, it is at time like this I wonder if I made the right decision when I picked the saints all those years ago. I hope I haven't lost the faith before our club is finally dragged kicking and screaming from the mire, all I want is to support a football team.
  24. What a ridiculous comment, why would they be playing him in all the friendlies if they didn't want to keep him? I'm pretty sure he will sign a one year contract sooner or later. Gutted to see a centre half in Pahars number but I guess time moves on!
  25. Our away following has steadily deteriorated since we were relegated from the prem, too many chavs and wanna be hard men. That combined with last seasons spate of the same idiotic child running on the pitch every week are bound to effect our rep!
