If Palace and us end up with FdB and Pellegrino each then no matter what way round it is guaranteed some on here will claim we screwed up and got out second choice.

So in summary, no news on manager, saints fans are a bunch of drama queens and I should become an ice hockey fan instead. Knew Ralph was there for a reason.

Players a bit worried with where the club are heading !?
John D replied to simo's topic in The Saints
Given your ability to criticise at the slightest opportunity I would be interested in your solutions. In particular given the facts that 1) there is no benefactor wanting to pump money into the club. FFP, if enforced, will restrict our ability to gain inward investment and we do not have sufficient reserves to fund spending from internal funds. Therefore we are restricted on both our ability to spend on transfers and on wages 2) There is, and always will be a football hierarchy with good players moving to bigger clubs. Be it Colin Clarke, Alan Shearer, Steve Williams, Mark Wright, Lukaku, Payet, Rooney, Ronaldo, Bale, Mahrez etc. If a players wants to leave history shows that in the majority of cases they will inevitably go. Letting a £50m asset rot in the reserves just doesn't happen. 3) We have been succesful in spotting talent to date so a challenge to improve on that Therefore it is incredibly difficult to do more than make up the numbers with the bonus of decent finishes from time to time and a cup run. Saints have not achieved beyond this in the 40 years I have supported them So what is the solution. Over to you -
Puel Sacked? - As Reported by Crook of Sh*t
John D replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I'm sure Puel knows either way. So he is sat on a beach plotting how to entertain us next year or relaxing whilst his lawyer negotiates the pay off. -
Deal off. According to a mate who has load of contacts in corporate finance circles.
-
Given he is only used to Dortmund's yellow wall i hope he wont be put off by the intimidating Chapel Stand!

I've got the first ever ordnance survey map with St Mary's on it. In a frame with a presented by Ordnance survey plaque on it. No idea if it is genuine but bought it on eBay just after we went into admin.

Silva failed at Hull Reputation for playing unattractive defensive football Why anyone want him as our next manager is beyond me

Our All Time Most Expensive Signings - One For The Statto's
John D replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Don't think Saganowski was that much. Jay Rod might have beeen for a while and isn't Gabbiadini now the record? -
There are a few up in the area as they are members of the Northern Saints. Not sure if they post on here though

Did it say somewhere in the document that the trust can't make a profit so PST shareholders can only vote for the £1k offer not the future profit one? Oh dear

As many have said, all 7 in our group are renewing but will wait till early May to do so.
-
Fantastic effort. Well done for the reminder

There's some random comments on this thread Billionaire owner - irrelevant as said owner is not prepared to put any money into the club anymore. Puel has not been backed by her so why judge as if he has Expecting us to challenge - we've come the closest since 2003 to winning a major trophy so we are challenging for honours Expecting us to finish top 6 consistently - absolutely delusional Our failure this year was that we should have easily got out of the Europa Group. Puel has got the team playing better despite injuries to 3 key players (2 of which were impact caused on pitch so unfair to blame backroom staff). Top 10 finish is a realistic result given our resources, Would love us to do more and get 7th or higher and I expect we will occasionally but it wont be every season. I was raised on Nichol and Branfoot so this is positively great for me compared to those days!

Good move to bring Caceres in as cover but I would leave him as that. Use the opportunity to really give Yosh and Stephens as much experience as possible. Given we have little to play for other than position money it would be sensible to really see if they can make it as long term first choices

Man City are playing this Wednesday which is also a Champions League night so not sure if that rule still applies
-
Thanks. Hopefully ours are in same batch.
-
Northern Saints allocation hasn't arrived yet either. But the ones on season tickets arrived last week
-
Fantastic - hopefully see you for a pre game pint somewhere
-
As above I would wait for next criteria announcement first though. As a regional supporters club we've been told not to expect any more above our standard allocation. This implies club still expects it to sell out to members.
-
Emailed ticket office this morning as we have issue that we have season ticket holders but then my daughter is a member on 5 (including West ham and Arsenal now). They said there is no guarantee it will go to members with 5 and it could well sell out to members with 8 Reading between lines I expect a lot of members have bought in last few days so the number in each category has shifted upwards. What a bizarre thread. Seems to be full of infighting, preferences to lose and the most negative predictions I've seen. And a bear comes out of hibernation in the middle of it. But anyway at least I'll talk about the game It is only my 4th semi final in 40 odd years so an occasion to look forward to. Hence taking a half day holiday, driving 600 miles and won't get home till 3am! I've seen plenty of games this season and by god we have been poor in many of them but I'm still hopeful. I reckon we will sneak it 1-0 with Liverpool dominating but missing plenty of chances and an inspired MoM performance by Yoshida. Still not decided what our best line up is but I would go with Forster Stephens, VVD, Yoshida, Bertrand Romeu, Davis, Hojberg Redmond, Rodrigues, Tadic KTF

Not doubting what you may have been told but given the source it could be 2nd, 3rd or 4th hand from anyone who was actually there. As you send it could be well overblown from what actually took place. I think the negative mood from fans means people latch onto rumours like this. Don't mind losing but the manner of performances recently are the biggest concern. Still only a couple of games away from this being a good season
-
Interesting that our fans rate Stek's performances much higher than Everton fans. He has been average at best for them from what those fans I speak to have been saying. Do agree that Forster has been average this season. But overreaction on here is pretty impressive.
