We've landed on our feet..

We couldnt have wished for a better second chance..

We're indirectly minted...

And some sad tw*ts on here want to pick holes in it, and the process by which we got here.

Its pathetic and embarassing. And people have a pop at me...

You are right, Alpine !

You are beginning to seem (almost) normal !

Fry was right to sell the club - he should have liquidated some of fans. Perhaps that was why ML got such a good deal.

"The club is worth about £50m but as it comes with an infestation of miserable gits, I will give you a heavy discount"

I agree we've been very lucky, I think the problem is this threat with Adams has put everyone on edge.

Let's just wait and see who is appointed, and then if people want to create problems they can.

Its not a 'threat' tho is it - its just a poxy bit of poxy speculation from a poxy paper. Nicola thingy said they hadnt even drawn up the shortlist yet -but you're threatening to not buy a season ticket if a made up name is appointed and emailing Oldknow. Its sad.

....but isn't it the nature of a forum like this to have something to debate, whinge or bellyache about? There has to be a certain amount of "panic over, what can we talk about now?.....oh yeah, blah blah moan, gripe whinge" otherwise let's shut this site down.

Absolutely, but it hasn't even been a week since the best thing that has happened to our club for years occurred. Even Gordon Brown got a honeymoon period

But the irony is, that those of us who objected strongest to the last few years of circus, are abused about finding something else to moan about....

I've taken stock of where we were last week, and I agree I over-reacted earlier. What will happen will happen.

We are in a state of limbo. We no longer have to worry about whether the club will cease to exist, thank God. But we have no manager and need to replace a few players. Until we know which manager it will be and which players, what else is there to discuss? Apart from how we fared against various minnows in pre-season matches, that is.

Roll on the new season; it can't come quickly enough.

Nice one Purley.....You are a top man or Woman:smt007......Adams will not come to Saints:)

AND even if he did......Minor coach at the best....To be honest he would probably be a reasonable mentor for some of the wayward children at the club and on this forum......

This is so weird, so much to agree with Alpine about these days!

It's been a hell of a ride, but now that it seems to have stopped then I think we all really need to step back and reflect and, for the first time in a while start to think with our brains not our d*cks before we type on here.

Habits are damned hard to break, I know - I can't give up smoking or partying and I made a good career out of trying to drive "Change Management" - kept getting called back for more as it never seemed to work - lol

This forum has evolved from it's predeccesors, over time it developed a life of it's own that scared other sane people away and hounded any attempts to create rational debate as posters spouted their bitterness at what was happening to their club and in some cases no doubt their lives.

It is a new era. Someone suggested a new forum should be set up, that IMHO is not the way to go, perhaps a slight nudge now from the mods, less tolerance of stupidity, trolling or hounding of opinions, and then, with the "many" watchers gradually feeling more confident about stepping into our world and making valid points the evolution can continue.

Personally I think it needs a nudge and it is interesting to see so many of the "senior citizens" on here are thinking that way.

The forum should now grow as should our crowds, we will have ups and downs, the new guys will make mistakes - hell even Fergie makes mistakes! and we won't be playing Champions League football next season so let people LEARN from mistakes, that is what NORMAL, SANE people who AREN'T called Rupert Lowe do - we need to get used to it again!

Opinions are what this is about. The monster raving looney party and the closet skates do not belong here anymore, the pitchforks need to be put back to rust for a while and we need to grow up a bit.

I think he (Fry) had gone along the same road the rest of us had, but after the Pinnacle deal flopped there didn't seem to be a viable alternative. He couldn't go on forever and but for a suitable Plan B, he's had no choice, but to wind up the company.

Thank goodness for our " White Knight " from Switzerland.

Alpine true sentiments for me. I as much as I wont like it am of the mindset to take what the new owners wish for be it Hoddle or Adams. I will have my reservations but I wish for a united fanbase with smiles not frowns. We all can make our own little contribution by debating fears and worries but not the bloody mindedness of the past.

In principle I agree with you. Why are we rehashing everything now? Surely through the actions/inactions of many we have attained Pol Pot's infamous year zero? So that we can all move onward and upward. The name calling doesn't help, it further polarises people and everything just degenerates from then on.

So come on all you Saints, let's really prove that we deserve Markus Liebherr and team, and move onward and upward.

You have to be one of the dumbest ****s on this planet. Yes we are all delighted to be in this current position but this is akin to putting one of your kids forward in a Russian roulette competition. We are all delighted to where we are now but that is more from relief than anything else. What has actually happened at Saints is an equivalent to winning the lottery, something so monumental I can still hardly believe it has happened to us.

What will happen to most other clubs would have been at best for the bits of SLH to get broken up and having to rent all the facilities and starting on -25 points with even more of the team moved on then present. That would then be followed by a second trip to administration with the possibility of losing the ground and our future completely.

The only thing pathetic and embarrassing is your assumption that just because we have won the lottery, it was an calculated, planned and acceptable risk.

I'm scared, I also agree with Alpine! Can't we stop moaning for 1 ****ing minute about something. Even if Adams is appointed - who's to say he hasn't learned his lessons and will do a good job in League 1. I remember Lawrie Mac, the only manager who has ever delivered any silverware to us, was slagged off when he joined because he took over from Ted. I also remember people being ****ed off with the appointment of WGS & Hoddle, both of whom were very successful for us.

****ing calm down people, we have professionals in charge who won't be happy unless we're back in the Premiership soon.

Tisdale for me mind you.

I must say I have agreed with alot of what Alpine has always said, including wanting to go into admin! (maybe not some of the venemous stuff he has spouted before!) Now I agree again and believe that he has shown himself in a good light these last few days. I don´t get all the hatred that is written on here sometimes! I don´t agree with everyone and think that that is true for nearly everyone on here but to hate someone for it is stupid, after all we are all connected on here by one thing........SFC!

So I say let sleeping dogs lie and lets all try to get on. After all the trolls will be found out in the end!;)

The swiss were always in the background, but we were lucky that the Pinnacle deal fell through.

BTW IF Tony Adams is chosen as manager, if, we should at least give him a chance if that is who then new owners have chosen.

If Adams has our support he has a better chance of succeeding and wha t a disaster it would be if our new owner left us due to a few moaning minnies !

Agree entirely - in this current wave of euphoria, let's not forget that this could all have worked out so very differently - we have indeed been very lucky.

How many Luton fans do you think are looking at us now and just wondering why they could not have had a slice of the luck that we have. Perhaps now, those who wish to gloat at 'being proved right' or continue the old and tired 'Lowe Luvvie' crap might just wish to pause for a moment, engage brain, and spare a thought for Luton Town fans - we could have been in their boat.
