Craig Bryson - Kilmarnock Midfielder...

Current Killmarnock midfielder, one of their top top assets - 22 year old.

Was told by someone earlier (who also gave me the killie forum link to back it up) that we ''Apparently'' were scouting him during Burnley's friendly against Killmarnock on thursday.

''heard today that an English 'sleeping giant' had a scout at the Burnley game watching Bryson. His club who have just been relegated are very interested in Craig and a bid looks forthcoming.

The guy left straight away once Bryson got subbed , and sat there in the training top of his team... Silly silly.''

He confirms it was Southampton later on in their thread:

I'm glad they still think of us as a sleeping giant ;)

We're also supposed to be scouting:

Jamie Murphy, 19, forward, Motherwell

Dougie imrie, 25, left winger, Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Scott Arfield, 20, midfielder, Falkirk

Damn - suddenly I'm ITK and Scottish. Doubly cursed.

If we end up buying any of them you need to invoice the club!!:D

OBS will never be happy! :D

Only because I named three Scottish players we're looking at, and you - sitting right next to them - knew diddley squat. The joys of ITK...

They're all pretty good, by the way - handicapped only by their impenetrable accents.

Due to location I can be our scottish scout, this will get in the way of my golf but I will do it to help out my new friends - Nicola and ML :D

Damn - they have no money!

O rly? :D

I follow Scottish football, Bryson seems to be a very good player, would definately be happy with signing him. A few more players we should be looking at are Andy Jackson and Colin Samuel, both from St Johnstone (my second team).

Jacko was out for most of last season with an achilles problem, and had a 'mystery illness' recently, but he's back fit now I believe, and HCDDAJFU! He's young, strong, good on the ball and knows how to score goals. Colin Samuel is a T&T striker who can also play on either wing, who doesn't score as many goals as AJ, but still chips in occasionally. He's 27, which is exactly the age of player that we need to be signing, and would give us some much needed width.

Both of these would be excellent squad players imo, and Bryson would certainly add an extra dimension to our midfield. Sign 'em up AP!

Bryson could be a decent signing - Arfield and Murphy could be squad players but wouldn't expect much more than that.

Imrie is a horrible wee man. A couple seasons ago he went for a 50-50 with another player and landed on the guy's neck. As the guy lay injured Imrie was in his face screaming he was "at it" etc etc.

The match was abandoned and the lad ended up in hospital and had to retire from football as a result.

No appology was forthcoming from Imrie for the way he acted.... ***t

He's only 5ft 7. an inch taller the SG but i cannot see AP playing those two together in this league and especially after he called a need for strength and battlers.

Maradona is five foot four, by the way. I don't think anyone doubted his strength or battling qualities.

I thought he retired because they discovered a heart complaint whilst he was being treated for the neck injury?

no disrespect to CB but im pretty sure he's not Maradona. I was just stating i think we need some height in midfield and regardless of what anyone says if we had to play two midfielder one 5ft 6 and one 5ft 7 in the center of the park we'd be vulnerable.

Height isn't everything - how high they can jump is another matter, Pahars was alright in the air for a small player.

I think we should play a narrower system' date=' with 3 midfielders then a front trio, with two strikers and Lallana given room. Then Mills and James given some opportunity to play as alternating wing-backs.[/quote']James as a wingback, hmmm, maybe he could use his electric pace, I would have time to buy a beer and a pie before he got to the line to put his cross in. he's no full back, let alone a wingback, I would rather he was in the midfield, his lack of pace and tackle does not show up there so much.
