Song for Waigo

I'm a fan of the Boom Boom Boom too, it did get a muffled outing in the Northam on Saturday, hope it catches on, better than bloody Pigbag "duh-duh-duh-duh " which wasn't even original when we nicked Palace's Andy Johnson chant to use for Dexter Blackstock some 4-5 years ago.

I did one on the Yeovil game thread on Saturday. It was something like this (in the style of Lady Gaga's paparazzi:

We're your biggest fans we love it when you score us goals, Papa, Papa Waigo.

Wouldnt you feel like a total bender singing that?

Stick to the boom boom boom one, tis' good fun!

Going by what I saw this afternoon at the open session, we may not be singing any songs with his name in them for some time. He looked quite weak and lethargic. His shooting was dia, apart from a couple of close range mi****s that went in.

I would describe his style as 'dainty'.

Do the words 'go', '****' and 'yourselves' mean anything where you come from.

You've been holding on to this for weeks haven't you? No-one, I note, is quorting me stating that we would thump The Gills, which we did. Waigo will be off at the first opportunity anyway, do people seriously believe that he enjoyed that last night?

Anybody know the tune from the '60's by 'The Rivingtons', and the 'Beach Boys'

'Papa oo moww moww'

new version: 'Papa Waigo go, Papa Waigo go'

It has a good beat and not too difficult to learn. It might be suitable.

Perhaps the moron in charge of pre-match entertainment, and thinks that everybody is deaf, could play it if was requested.

Why will he be off. He has scored 3 in 2 games and has given out team an extra dimension. Stop being so negative and rude.

Still think that wins hands down. A classic football song and we don't even have to change the lyrics for it to be about one of our players.

"Boom Boom Boom" is still my favourite.

The "One Papa Two Papa Three Papa Waigo" Macarena song (with dance) was being done by an associate (!) of mine last night and was the gheyest, funniest thing you'll see...

...and "Here Waigo Here Waigo Here Waigo" is quite clever - way too clever for the Rear Northam Pigbaggers.

Then again we got all the way through "We all dream of a team of Perry Groves' " last night.

The Boom Boom Boom version I wrote is quite possibly the best terrace chant wrote this decade. Especially for the first line of the verse.

Please repost, in the knowledge that the brilliant

"Rory Delap Rory Delap when he runs his ears go flap" became "Rory Delap Rory Delap (repeat ad nauseum)" and we can't get a decent Lambert song started basically because there are more than 2 lines to it... though I don't think username signing the songsheets helped its credibility much either.

I liked the "Rory Delap, Rory Delap, sometimes he's good, mostly he's crap" version personally.

Papa Waigo you're so brown (LMFAO)

It doesn't matter if we're one nil down

or however many we're behind

If you score just one more time

But Papa if you cannot find the net

Maybe you can make an assist

Lay the ball off to big Lambo

And send the Saints fans into bliss

Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO! x4

Just for the highlighted sentence PLEASE!

Wai-Go...Wai-ai-ai-go - daylight come & he want to score goals

To the tune of 'Daylight come & I want to go home' from the early sixties...yes I remember!

The best interpretation of this has to be the PA at Leicester City, who just after 9/11 sung

'Hey Mr Taliban Give us back Bin Laden'

Apparently he was sacked soon after.

Against Gillingham I heard:

Waigo, woaahhhh,

Waigo, woaahhhh,

He scores he celebrates

He ****ing hates the skates

...

Oh super, another completely generic song with about 4 new words. Where's the originality people ?!!?

You do know that "Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO!"

doesn't fit the tune, right ? This is independently of the dubious "brown" comment, which is a potential thread on its own.

when he scores,p.a. to play papa's got a brand new pig bag, by pig bag

The irony of this is not lost on me. It is the one simple song that would actually be good, if we didn't already use it for any other player who didn't have a song.

Even this one could possibly be saved if we "Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa"ed instead of the "Duh-duh-duh-duh"ing, just to make it even slightly different to the one for Saganowski/Lambert/Blackstock etc.
