RedAndWhite91 Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 Wasn't a massive fan last year, but been really impressed with him this year. His distribution at times is perfect, and as he said he seems to be more up for the 'getting stuck in' side of things. If he keeps playing like he did against Wycombe he'll be integral in this team. Yate Saint Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 Good to read how positive he is. Lets hope he continues to improve and help us up to the Prem by which time he will have a number of full international caps!
S-Clarke Posted 3 December, 2009 Share Posted 3 December, 2009 Nice to read that from Morgan. Last season you always had the impression he wasn't 100% happy with life here (and who could blame him...). But now he respects the manager and the coaches, they respect him and they understand how to get the best out of him. As pards has said, he's probably the most talented footballer in this league - he just needs to add other sides to his game to help him at this level (which he is doing tbf) If he does stay with us until we get to the prem then i reckon he could be fantastic for us. He would strive in a league that gives him a little more time and space.
the saint in winchester Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Just read on ceefax that MS hopes France are in England's group for WC2010 as "he hopes France knock England out". Allowing for the fact, that 2 teams progress from each group so they couldn't ...... can't help thinking his comments are in poor taste. He's a guest in our country and should behave with dignity. The fact he's a Saints player doesn't excuse his comments. MS, APOLOGIZE!!!!

No you're wrong in my opinion, as a frenchman he shouldn't support england even if he works here, but to single england out is bad form old chap and at the very least undiplomatic and without thought. Why? The English single out the Germans and Argentinians all the time and vice versa. What's the difference?

Baird of the land Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 of course he wants france to knock out england. Most of the saints team are english so he'll like anyone be hoping his team knocks them out so he can crow about it. If saints win and pompey lose I'll crow about it. It's no different and there's similar historical rivalry too as france is england's traditional enemy.

SaintDonkey Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Getting back to Scheiderlin the player he has come on immensely this season. In a way it's actually quite a good thing from a Saints perspective that he's not been scoring goals, nothing draws attention more to a player than the ball in the back of the net. The fewer goals he scores the less atention he'll receive and the lower he'll be on the Premiership radar.

hutch Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 And as for Morgan, fair play to him. We shouldn't underestimate the huge psychological effect on him when he was told earlier that if he stayed in the English third division he could forget France international honours. He seems to have got his mind around that, and if he continues to let his boots do the talking, he'll get there. Bon chance, Morgan.

Window Cleaner Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 y (as they should because everything works ) . Except for about 10% of the working population. Then again it's not surprising, you're better off at home with a family of 5 or 6 kids, subsidised rent,800 euros or so state handout (5 kids) free holidays, free sports activities all paid for by the poor mugs with only 2 kids earning minimum wage of about 1100 euros. They can't afford to stop the handouts because of the riots it would cause, they can't afford to create any jobs because of all the taxes the employers would have to pay to keep all the scroungers in luxury. Mitterand created this mess, unfortunately he snuffed it before he had to sort it out. France is a wonderful country, but not everything works, just the other day a postman was up in court because they found 400 kgs of undelivered letters in his basement, lazy bastard just couldn't be bothered to deliver them. Window Cleaner Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Not in my experience. Try going out of Paris. About a quarter of the population of L'Ile de France aren't French anyway. Paris apart from "les beaux quartiers" is a crap hole. You people in your estates like Locks Heath and Hythe just can't imagine what housing estate life is like in the Parisian suburbs, when I lived there I had a friend come in from Oz,he thought he'd got on the wrong train and ended up in Africa. paris Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 For some of the French what you say is true but the reality is that trains in Paris are overcrowded, there's more and more homeless on the streets, the unemployment rate is high, immigration is completely out of hand, thet don't like their footie like us shall i go on .... Oh they moan a lot and the taxes are high .... Apart from all the above and i have missed some aspects the French ain't a bad lot.. As others have said, if you can't give or take that sort of banter what is the point? Jesus...
