Surprised it is at 12.45pm kick off as I would have thought Hampshire Constabulary would have wanted a midday kick off, at least the poopey fans will be herded in and herded back out to Southampton Central. I so want us to win this one to erase the painful memories of that 4 - 1 defeat at Crap Nottarf when we got relegated from the Premiership.

Saturday. That'll do nicely.

7.45am here. 99% certain TV game on Setanta USA. Not too early for a few beers and then have the rest of the day to celebrate.

What are you other USA Saints planning on doing? 4.45am on the West Coast - do you stay up all night or set your alarm clock?

On what basis I wonder, surely 15 minutes extra drinking time or whatever isn't going to make a huge amount of difference.

Half an hour in the Alfred then.

LOL there will be no Pubs open anywhere in central Southampton that morning

Would have thought the pubs in the city centre will open? Maybe not Yates as they are close to where the OB will be escorting the skates from & to the station. Places like the standing order...etc down the bottom of town will still be open I'd imagine.

think you will find half of them will drive theirselves to SMS, and it is these the OB will be worried about, those who come by train or coach can be monitored and controlled

Excellent, glad it's saturday and 12.45 still leaves plenty of time for some beers, take the missus to the spanish place on the front after the game and stay at the De'vere, everyones happy.

Is there any thought that the attendance for the MK game will be affected, two important games in one week, I was hoping that we would get 25K + for the MK game, but that looks unlikely now...Im going to both because its my patriotic duty as a True Saint, but lots wont be able to afford both..v expensive this football business..

Well, 12.30 isn't too bad. I was over for the first match of the season against Millwall with a 12.45 KO and managed two (er 3) pints. I suppose the problem will be finding one open, but if you are a regular will it be that much of a problem? Perhaps a drink beforehand and a quiet word with the landlord/lady?

Anyway, Saturday is fine as I won't miss our away match to Cavallermaggiore..

Still think we will get 25k+ for MK Dons. After season ticket sales for the Pompey game, if the club have any sense then they'll state that to buy a ticket for Portsmouth you also need to go to 1 of Stockport or MK Dons, that would ensure full houses at either of those games.

Shame the bridge over Bursledon Road has gone, no "Welcome pikeys" banners :(

yeh, it's handy from a relationship point of view. I can be romantic and still go to the game. get in.

Very handy! My missus (Norwich fan) wants to go to this game, but I said I may only get one ticket for it, and leave the others for true Saints fans. Had it been on Valentines Day, I'd never have heard the end of it! I'll still be in the dog house (if I get my ticket), but at least I'll be able to dig my way out of it by Valentines Day!

Saints FA Cup 5th round local derby against Portsmouth has been chosen as one of the ties to be shown live on ITV1. The match at St. Mary’s is scheduled for a 12.30 pm kick-off on Saturday 13th February with each club receiving £247,500 from the FA’s Broadcast Fund.
