saint lard Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 Well after coming away from Doncaster with, what many including myself a unexpected 3 points, are things on the up?. Has that result instilled a much needed shot in the arm reference confidence, let's hope so. This will be a tricky game as Norwich are no mugs IMO. Couple this with the return of Arturo Lupoli (sp),who on his day can be highly effective, our Somewhat defensive frailties maybe exposed and once again KD will have to perform well. Alll games are crucial but i feel this match, even though early(ish) in the season is an important one,win it and we can kick on and make some possible headway up the table, come away with nothing and the hardwork at the weekend will be wasted and we are back to square one.All IMO. 2-1 Saints. 70's Mike Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 This is very tough game, mainly because expectations both on and off the pitch will have been raised after Saturday. Jan will need to keep the players feet on the ground and we fans , who actually go to-night, will need to be patient. 1 nil Saints in last minute will do me. If it was like that I wonder how many will be left in ground to see it

DT Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 I think the players will go into that complacent mode that kicks in when we are expected to win (which also affects the fans) and it will kick us in the teeth again. Defensive frailties exposed. They'll roll their sleeves up and win the way we should but can't. 2-1 to them. Really hope I'm wrong.

St Marco Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 This will be an interesting game and one that i feel we have to win. If we win we could move up 7 places in the league and that would help so much with our confidence right now. But if we lose we could go bottom depending on results. That is the nature of the league, 1 win sees you jump up a few places and a loss sees you fly back down it. After Norwich we have some tough games against promotion hopefuls and you just know they will get their seasons on track against us. So in that regard 3 points tonight seems even more important. I think we will win and do so quite comfortably. Norwich are an ok team but they have struggled the same as us the past few seasons and i expect them to be near the drop zone come may again. I am going for Saints 2-
