Saints V Bournemouth

anyone know how many tickets have been sold so far?

I think Bournemouth will most probably sell out their section for the game, you think we might get a decent attendence?

Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere.

they have been waiting for this game for a long time.

I saw a friend who is a Bournemouth fan yesterday and he said 'see you at SMS tuesday'

I really didn't know it was as soon as next week. He understood as he felt that the game was a big thing for them but not for us.

Surely it would be better that no saints fans went? Imagine that would make them feel far worse than lots of us turning up and actually making out we care. Evening matches are never good for me although if it were a real derby like a pompey game I'd make the effort. For Bourenmouth in the carling cup I'll pass.

Its not like its the only time we will be playing them this season is it?

Will Pardew risk playing a full first team, rather than focus on the MK Dons game?I suspect we will see a few reserve players instead. Also i cant even have my seat in the Northam and the atmosphere will be a lot better in the league games.

I wont be going tomorrow.

Errrr, just count the miles people. It is local. No, not local when you stagger out of your mother-in-laws down to the boozer for a post-pint. Its bascially the nearest footy club, so if that ain't local i doubt your IQ. (Actually, I doubt it anyway.)

If you think Bornemuff is the other side of watford then you are (a) arrogant or (b) thickassh!t or © both.

Sorry for the diillusionment.

Proximity isn't the issue. The fact I don't care is.

I just can't get motivated to go to see this game.

And to think they reckon this is a derby? Rediculous.

I reckon we'll all get motivated about Bournemouth matches if they beat us -which is not unlikely since they'll have watched and learned from the Plymouth game, and I'm not convinced our players recently are showing enough bottle against physical opponents.

A proper derby needs more than being close though it needs passion. I just don't care about Bournemouth, Portsmouth is a derby becuase both sides give a **** in this case only Bournemouth fans care so just isn't the same.

Imagine the stick we'll get from the Bourmofffffff lot if we lose :uhoh:

Taking it past 90 mins won't help TBH - I just want a convincing win (2/3 goals) to shut the doubters up.

Believe it or not - there are some people who want Pards out after one game (not on here).

I'd like to see Bart in goal and maybe Martin at CB , but I can't see AP taking the risk on making too many changes.

Some nice football ON THE GROUND and a win to make the fans happy till Franchise on Saturday.

Can't believe some of the arrogant pr1cks that post on here. I hate to disillusion them, but we are a small team playing in Div 3 these days, and there are at least 40 clubs that can currently claim to be bigger clubs. Just because we have a wealthy owner, doesn't mean he intends spending his vast fortune on us, and certainly doesn't make us a big club YET.

Derby games are one of the traditions of English football. If Poopy had gone out of business are they saying we wouldn't have a derby game to look forward to EVER??

Judging from the comments of the past few weeks I thought everyone was itching to get on with the new season, and now, one game into it, people are saying they can't be bothered. And I thought that team down the road had some shallow and fickle fans.

Oh....and yes...I am a miserable s0d. I am still p1ssed off after building my hopes up for the new season and watching yet another disappointing start to the season - but if I was able to go to tonight's game do you think I would miss it? Not a chance.

It's got fu ck all to do with who is bigger there is just no history between the two clubs that's not arrogance it's just fact. There is no way Bournemouth/Saints is ever going to rival Pompey/Saints for atmosphere. Also of the three cups we will play in this season the Carling is the least interesting to me personally the FA cup is always great and the JPT is interesting becuase we're the current holders. Having already sold my soul for a season ticket this year I have to pick and choose what other matches I go and see (I can't afford them all) this one just has nothing to reccomend it if that makes me an arrogant ***** I 'll live with it.

I don't get what reason they have to dislike us other than them just wanting a big rival and that comes with it? Guess jealousy comes into it as noone likes it when clubs suddenly have a wealthy owner and naturally they buy their way out of the league. Even I don't really agree with that as a saints fan....

Etap ?? Classy

Anywho, i was considering going tonight, then thought about it and decided i really can't be ars*d to spend £16 on a nothing match against a team i used to like but really couldn't care less about now.

Exactly. Took me a nano second to decide not to spend £45 on petrol driving down to watch R1 of the fizzy pop cup against a team that I have no feelings at all for.

I'm have walked down barefoot if it had been pompey.

The people who support saints but only when it suits them stand out like a sore thumb on here... ITS YOUR TEAM, SO WHAT IF ITS ONLY THE CUP. GET OUT THERE AND SUPPORT THEM!

Yeah its 16 quid but its a small price to see the team you love play....

If I lived local then the chances are I'd go, but I don't so I won't.

* Damn, you beat me. :)
