Surely Ian Turner in goal.

Dowie & Moody definitely.David Speedie and Perry Groves always looked dire to me but perhaps thats just a legacy of the Branfoot era.

Ian Turner in goal for certain.

Ivan Golac at right back, Dave Watson and Chris Nicholl in central defence - can't think of a suitably ugly left back, though Gareth Bale is pretty simian so maybe he'd qualify.

Terry Hurlock and Graham Baker in central midfield.

Charlie George and Iain Dowie up front.

There - just needs two ugly wingers and maybe a hideous left back.

Lee Todd

In more ways than one.

If you're going for a 442 from about 1990 onwards...

GK - Dave Beasant LB - Barry Venison CD - Claus CD - Simon Charlton RB - Chris Baird LM - Perry Groves CM - Quashie CM - Kevin Richardson RM - Robbie Slater ST - Ormerod ST - Peter Crouch

Manager - Luggy

Assistant - Wigley

Gordon Cowans? How the feck does he get in a "Saints" team?

Oops! False memory syndrome... Was convinced he had a few loan games with us (in those days when we had "other peoples players, like Reid, drifting in for a few games) but just checked 'the bible' and no. I blame the drugs...

Does dating Abby Clancy validate him though? Granted, he's got a set of choppers that only a mother could love, but she must see something in him, besides his money, height and massive schlong...

whats going on here? I was convinced gordon cowans had played for us as well, did he turn out in a testimomial or a friendly or something? Or is it some kind of mental link with another Gordon that did play for us, who else was in the squad when gordon watson was here (or have I got that wrong as well hahahaaa)

Graham Potter? I occasionally think some players have played for Saints that haven't, I blame the early editions of Championship Manager for that!

Thank god I am not the only one who's going mad! It's funny, despite all the evidence to the contrary, I still remain convinced I've seen him play for Saints! I've come to the conclusion that I've either had an "Inception" type dream, where on Sunday night I spent '20 years' watching an alternate Saints team (we did win the league three times in a row in the 90's, right?) OR I too am confusing him with some other journeyman, more famous for another club, ending his career at our place...

While I'm at it, did Mark Walters, Stuart Ripley, Sammy Lee, Justin Fashanu, Jamie Redknapp, Peter Reid and Derek Statham also make an appearance or two for us, or have I dreamt them up too?!
