....yes I am a bit bored.

This may have been done on here before, but as a relative newcomer, I haven't seen anything.

But thought it would be interesting to see differing aspects of our support. So copy and paste and answer the questions if you fancy it....

First Saints Game:- 1992. Arsenal at home. Won 2-0, Ian Wright missed a penalty.

First Away Game:- Chelsea circa. 1995. Lost 0-3 Ruud Gullit absolutely ripped us to pieces.

Best Away Trip:- Either Millwall away, FA Cup Replay in the 2003 run, just for the atmosphere and the pure intensity of the game or Notts County this season, crap game, but it was my stag weekend so, there was much hijinks.

Favourite Saints Memories:- JPT final, FA Cup semi v Watford, any of the skate mashings. The 1996 one in particular (my first derby), sat in the East stand right next to the fishy few.

Worst Saints Memories:- 1-4 @ Fratton.

Preferred Strand St. Mary's:- Kingsland corner.

Preferred Stand The Dell:- East.

St. Mary's or the Dell:-St. Mary's. Just.

First Saints Game:- Saints 1st ever game in Div 1. 1966 - Man City at The Dell, 1-1. The original glory hunter me

First Away Game:- 2nd season in Div 1 ... 6-2 win at the mighty Chelsea - down hill since then!!

Best Away Trip:- Various Cup games in the 70's. 10000 in the Trent End 77 for a thrilling 3-3 draw, another massive following at WBA in the 76 cup run plus of course the semi at Stamford bridge and the final itself. League wise the promotion season 79 more massive invasions of Orient and my fav 2-1 at Luton with Peachy scoring a pen right in front of us near the end that sent us into raptures as promotion was within touching distance.

Favourite Saints Memories:- The Cup magic of 76. Firstly winning the semi and it sinking in that we were going to Wembley and then beating skatesmuff a few days later which virtually condemned them to relegation. Then the Final, the drive home and Civic Centre reception watched clinging onto a slender branch from one of those trees outside The Soul Cellar, and then my favourite ever the Micky Channon Testimonial. a truly magical night.

Worst Saints Memories:- The spineless capitulation to Man U when we were relegated - thanks to redkraps team selection - SKP on the bench FFS - and motivational skills - Remember when he took over saying it would need a miracle to keep this bunch up, need another 6 players etc etc. Talk about building team spirit.

Preferred Strand St. Mary's:- Kingsland corner.

Preferred Stand The Dell:- Under the choccy boxes mid 70's and then Under East stand next to The Cage late 70s.

St. Mary's or the Dell:-St. Mary's. We simply could not survive any longer at The Dell. I have many precious memories of The Dell to cherish..

Best current player:- Adam Lallana.

Favourite Players technically other than Le Tiss:- Terry Paine best ever winger, Ron Davies best ever headerer of the ball. Alan Ball the master of one touch football.

Favourite Players cult wise other than Le Tiss:- Eric Martin, Brian O Neil, Micky Channon and his windmill, Franny for his sheer perseverence and ability to persuade numerous different managers to pick him despite his lack of skill and finesse!! When the Spirit of Southampton meant something!!

Favourite unsung heroes:- Nick Holmes. Tony Funnell and Mickey Evans for thier short but oh so important cameo roles they played in promotion (TF) and staying up (ME)

Favourite Manager:-Lawrie Mac Thanks for the wonderful memories..

Most hated Players:- David Speedie. Also Kashfool, Kenwynne Jones and Berkovic in the way they handled there ways of getting transfers from us.

Worst Players:- Stuart Ripley and neil McCann totally failed to live up to expectations. The dynamic duo of Dixon & Speedie who would score more goals than a young inexperienced teenager called Shearer that they replaced - DOH.

Worst Manager:- Branfoot who just didn't understand the Southampton way but was an honourable man, where as Kvntflaps should never have taken the job when he knew his heart wasn't in it. I reckon even the Dutch duo or Compo could have kept us up that season.

Where will Saints be in 5 years time realistically:- In the mega bucks Premiership - but will it be fun, I don't know. Getting there will be more enjoyable.

.

That's a bit bizarre - it was also my last ever match at the hallowed old girl.

Remember being nearly in tears at half time thinking that my last ever memories would be a thrashing - but oh those last 20 mins were right up there with the best of memories.

First Saints Game:- 1965 - v Plymouth, I think (a long time ago and still in shorts)

First Away Game: - Not sure but regularly went away in the early seventies (a lot of rough and tumble in those days)

Favourite Saints Memories: - Beating Liverpool in late sixties (early Chivers goal), semi-final of the league cup beating dirty Leeds 1-0 (Terry Curran goal at the Milton end - went berserk), the odd European game at the dell (great atmosphere), Cardiff and JPT. One real regret in life was missing the FA Cup in 76.

Preferred Strand St. Mary's:- Kingsland Centre (old fart these days)

First Saints Game:- 1993 - Saints 2-1 Newcastle, The night of the scuffed goal. I was 6.

First Away Game:- Fulham @ Loftus Road, 2-2. Comeback from 2-0 down with one in the 83rd (i think) and a last gasp winner from Niemi. Ok... it turned out to be Killer but all 2,000 Saints fans thought it was Niemi.

Best Away Trip:- Difficult one but... Yeovil last season. Last gasp winner from Lee Barnard on a stunning summers day, I cooking on the Huish Park terrace. :smug:

Favourite Saints Memories:- My first South Coast Derby. Saints 2-1 P*mpey. Crouchy 95th minute penalty. That, and JPT final. When Antonio knocked in the 4th, it finally sunk in that I was watching Saints at Wembley with over 50,000 fellow fans. Magical day. Thankyou Markus.

Worst Saints Memories:- 1-4 last season. Although I walked away from SMS that day with my head held firmly high that we had outplayed the DFCSB's for nearly the entire game... it hurt so bad to watch them CHEAT there way to victory and end up with a scoreline that made us look stupid. Totally underserved and disgrace to football.

First Saints Game:- 21st January1978 Saints v Notts County 3-1. Great day out with School mates on the 50p shopping coach from Baughurst north Hampshire, capped off with a brace from my hero of those days Phil Boyer

First Away Game:- Reading v Saints 1978 League Cup 0-0. Stood on the notorious home South Bank at Elm Park, watching Saints fans climbing the floodlight pylons in the second half being told by the PA to get down to no avail, and seeing a Reading chance cross the line and the Lino not seeing it!! Strangest memory was David Peach asking me for a light for his cigarette after the game............. I was shocked.

Best Away Trip:- Probably Man City 2004 Eastlands a little hard up and because they had cut the allocation for Saints fans the previous season for the last game at Maine road the Premier League made MC charge us half price for this game the Southampton charged cost for the coach. So a family away day was had, Mrs JBS and the johnboyettes, my youngest Daughter after an early start had nodded off in the first half until BT opened the scoring: on our coach after the game everyone was singing all of a sudden "Who was sleeping when we scored??" broke out with everyone pointing to my 8 year old daughter.

Favourite Saints Memories:- For being there in person, I think it has to be 1979 League Cup Final Lawrie Mac had helped me get me my ticket and one for my Dad (well someone had to get me there) so that was special in itself. But the lasting memory was my Dad, it was his first ever Football game. First half David Peach gets the ball and takes it round Shilton everyone around was saying "we're going to score""we're going to score!" then everyone went mental as we scored: in amongst this I just stopped because I had never seen my Dad go absolutely mental before.......... That moment will live with me forever.

Worst Saints Memories:- The longest slow motion Car Crash ever that was Saints from the moment Sturrock was sacked until Markus saved our bacon.

Preferred Strand St. Mary's:- I am quite happy in the Chapel concentrating on the game.

Preferred Stand The Dell:- Milton, down the front.

St. Mary's or the Dell:-I enjoy he comfort of St Mary's, but The Dell under the floodlights with 21000+ squeezed in, Saints playing well, and the whole place rocking: no contest!.

Best current player:- Adam Lallana, Oxo is exciting though. Steve Williams was gifted and frustrating all in the same game.

Favourite Players technically other than Le Tiss:- Niemi, Killer, Lallana.

Favourite Players cult wise other than Le Tiss:- Has to be Phil Boyer, give the bloke half a chance and it was in the back of the net.

Favourite unsung heroes:- Paul Telfer, he was a "road sweeper" in the Lawrie Mac team analogy.

Favourite Manager:- Lawrie Mac.

Most hated Players:- Lee Todd, pile of steaming... who compounded it by taking Frannys number 3 shirt.

Worst Players:- Callum Davenport, Rory Delap waste of money. Ali Dia.

Worst Manager:-Branfoot and Jan "yup that was me nutmegged by Archie Gemmel V Holland to score the greatest World Cup Goal" Portaloo!!

Where will Saints be in 5 years time realistically:-Champions of Europe before Chelsea manage it!! ................ Why not?! Back in the boring Premier league to be honest.
