The Rush For Tickets

Hatlepool and Wallsall (home games) are on general sale now.

I've just purchased tickets for both of these games in addition to Rochdale (away) which i'd purchased for the other day.

Wallsall should be a sellout (unless we're out of the running before then) and Hartlepool will in my opinion sell out if we're still on course for 2nd spot.

There is sure to be a big surge in sales for these games now so get in there asap or risk mising out.

Are you on commission for the ticket office? Don't think we've had a sell out since the Burnley game where they relegated us and Clarke "Countdown" Carlisle broke Paul Wotton's jaw. We might just sell out Walsall, bu I don't see us selling out before then

Eh? The attendance for that Burnley game was 23,927 according to the BBC, so nowhere near a sell out! Since then we've had 31.5k for the skates, 29.9k against MK Dons in the JPT and 30.8k for Exeter last season on Boxing day.

30k against Leeds last year too.

These last two games will potentially be right up there with the crucial survival games from our past. I'm just giving my opinion that you'd be wise to get your tickets early. On the online booking thing I managed to get seats exactly where I wanted them, but you can be sure that the most desireable areas will be gone pretty quick now.

Walsall could be an odd one. If we need a win or draw to nail promotion, I'd guess it would sell out.

But if we've been promoted already, will tickets sell on a "come and celebrate" idea or not?

I'd think they would. There would be a real party atmosphere and the pitch invasion at the end would be fun.

United didn't sell out because it was on TV and the prices were through the roof.

And most people didn't care what the result was.

I'm trying to buy tickets on line and am getting this message....

Is it just me?

Did you avoid a ticket tax by promoting the games? ;-)

No and what made it worse is that I payed the Cortese Tax 3 times over for 3 different games. Nicole owes me big time.

I couldn't work out how to book them all in one transaction. Can you?

Pretty easy if you're doing it online, once you have selected your seat it saves in the "shopping cart" so you can just come out of it and add tickets for other games and they'll all go through on one transaction.

Thanks. I'll do this next time.

The important one for me is Brentford away (i'm a season ticket holder so homes games are sorted) any news on when this is on sale yet?

Seems they will be announced this week - according to their forum, once the police had had their say they will release the details..

Also Judging by their forum, alot of them seem rather bitter (mainly down to the cup game at St Marys in 2005)!!!

why dont you just ring up and do it that way? You can buy all as many games and only pay the tax on one game.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or not.

My son had arranged a weekend in London (he's at Manchester Uni) with his mates from Winchester last weekend. He'd arranged the accommodation before getting tickets but when he tried to get tickets they were all sold out. He went along to Brisbane Road anyway and walked up to their ticket office, just before kick-off, to find that he had a choice of tickets; in the Saints bit or in the home area. He, along with his mates, chose the Saints bit and had great seats

I'm with the travel club so away tickets come to me automatically but if I struggled to get a Brentford ticket I know what I'd do after Saturday's episode.

If you go to every (or nearly every) away game as a registered travel club member you Hget sent tickets automatically and they debit your credit card automatically. Plus you don't have to go by coach ;-)

Have you heard anything about Brigton tickets yet, checked my online history and nothing yet.

Right - Can I just get this clarified - are you saying that those that regularly travel by travel club get given priority for away tickets over those that travel independently? As that's what it sounds like from the way I read it.
