What kind of performance will we get on Tuesday? The last game we played in Sheffied we got absolutely outclassed by a team at the bottom of league2. Will Jan have the nuts to make the changes needed to get us out of this mess? Do we really have any strength in depth to prepare us for what will be an extremely physical game? I really hope so but am starting to wonder.

PS:Looking to get to the game on Tuesday night against Sheff Utd but does anyone know if you can buy tickets on the gate for away fans? i cant see my tickets arriving for Tuesday if I order them Monday?

Probably a good time to play them since they play Wednesday today (0-1 down at the moment and Killgallon sent off). Having said that I can see Beattie getting a hat trick. Only player who might be able to handle him is Svensson.

My predicition - lose 3-1

We'll get spanked. Jan will put out more pre teens in defence.

Has Kirsty (?) signed yet? After her performance at half-time yesterday I think she would be an improvement, even with her broken arm, at least we might have a chance if we get a penalty.

Just watching some of the Sheff derby on Sky makes me wonder how we could compete against either if they play like they did today. Beattie could completely muller our powder-puff defence, unless he gets a mysterious injury I think it could be an embarrassing night to be a Saints supporter again. The only good news is Kilgallon won't be playing. The bad news is Utd will be out to get back on course.

Why would we definately be destroyed? We've gotten a results against Brum* so why not against Sheff Utd?

Our results are totally unpredicatble and we are really a team that can win against anyone and lose against anyone.

*I'm aware this was in the LC but we were't exactely murdered in the league match either.

We're going to get tonked by them. I would imagine that if we don't pick up anything from that match and nothing against Swansea, that if things are going badly against Coventry in our next home match, things are going to get very ugly in terms of crowd dissent and protests against the Board and manager.

Did you see Morgan today? Can you imagine our powder-puff players having the brass balls to even get within ten feet of him with the ball? I reckon you'll see some brilliant fast passing on Tuesday as our babies try to get rid of the ball really quickly when the United Neanderthals bear down on them!

As for Beattie he'll get at least two, after all Best and Blackstock have and Beattie is probably a better forward than either of them.

Oh and we are really **** too.

We won't need to get near Morgan if he dosen't hear his keepers shout like he did today resulting in the winning goal.

Sheff Utd v Southampton

Venue: Bramall Lane Date: Tuesday, 21 October Kick-off: 1945 BST

Coverage: Full commentary on BBC Radio Solent 96.1FM, and coverage on BBC Radio Sheffield.

"Southampton welcome back midfielder Simon Gillett from injury. The 22-year-old is likely to go straight into the starting eleven.

Loan winger Ryan Smith (hamstring) is out, while Morgan Schneiderlin will return in the reserves later this week."

Southampton head-coach Jan Poortvliet told BBC Radio Solent:

"We have to defend set pieces better. Sheffield United are a big, physical side, and they will punish us if we don't defend a lot better."

"We need to show more character when things go wrong. If we go behind, it's a big problem."

What, a repeat of the mystery injury he picked up at the end of last season called "IDONTWANNAPUTMYOLDTEAMDOWN_ITIS".

But its a real relief that with Sheff U being such a big physical side, JV has Gillett available.

And I'm so glad to see we've not taken on yet another injury-prone player in Smith.
