Arthritis? Cateracts? Incontinence? Who knows.

Having said all that, I'd still have him in the team. My first choice defence at the moment would consist of Cork, Pearce and Mills, +1. Given that the other 3 are all teenagers, I'd have to put either Killer or Perry in there. Even if Killer is fit for the Bristol game, he looked 5 yards off the pace against Barnsley.

Personally, I think Killer is finished if he doesn't get that nimbleness back. Last time I saw him he just couldn't cut it, even at this level. Great shame, but we really can't count on him as anything more than an occasional pay as you play. Might be better just to give him a testimonial and be done, then concentrate on getting a solid, not-too-often-changing back four.

we are talking Perry but as for Killer i think they have decided not to rush him and with Lancashire and Pearce there is no need too especially as we have Perry in reserve once his sickness bug (i think it was ) has cleared

lots of them are sick apparently. BWP and Robertson have been quarantined;

Mills,Smith and err can't remember are getting better. Mills and Smith played at Plymouth this afternoon and Mills got roasted-a lot.

I think a few of the squad have had a bug as the weather changes going into winter. A number of CCC clubs seemed to be fielding players who were well under 100% fit at the weekend for the same reason.

Maybe he is on appearance fees ????????

Here's a suggestion : Lowe has made it clear he will only pay one significant starting appearance fee per game, and at the moment Skacel is the priority ?

Perry only signed in the summer under Lowe so it is very likely that he has appearance money in his contract.

I think he has been unwell

Completely disagree with the comments on Killer. He was excellent first few games of the season. After such a long time out there were always going to be dips & setbacks along the way & hopefully the knee's settled down and he can a big part in the rest of the season. He's a such a cut above in terms of player to the likes of Perry.

a red letter day. I agree with that fully. I just wonder how many games Killer will need to get that sharpness back and will he ever get it back I wonder?

I'm sure there was something we agreed on once a while ago. Can't remember what it was though.

Wasn't Skacel, Saganowski, Licka, Ostlund, Prutton, Wright...

when did he say that? Not disputing that wages and perhaps appearance fees have impact on loans etc but there is nothing to say that Lowe has anything further to do with team selection.

Exactly. He had one bad game V Barnsley when we got our tactics completely wrong - there was no way he should have been marking that lump Burgess, as he was always going to lose out in the air and end up chasing the flick on.

In fairness to Alpine, he said it was a suggestion.

fair enough it could be meant that way, I read it as;

Here's a suggestion : Lowe has made it clear he will only pay one significant starting appearance fee per game, and at the moment Skacel is the priority

the underlined bit being fact and the other the bold the suggestion, but take your point it was probably meant as all hypothetical.
