Great news about the release of the remaining hostages. At some point the question needs to be asked why it took so long. Perhaps, if Netanyahu had put the same effort into securing their release as he did into killing Palestinians and destroying Gaza, they would have been home a lot sooner. Still, today is a day of celebration and hope that the ceasefire can be turned into an actual peace settlement that works for all.

Well done President trump, yes?

If it goes tits up will he deny having anything to do with it, as he did with the deal he signed with the Taliban.

I love the fact you now have a begrudging respect for him. Bet you now have a MAGA hat you secretly wear at home on Saturday night whilst watching Strictly😉

There are plenty of British people who say and do dumb stuff which is not patriotic and in the interests of their own country. Doesn’t take away the fact that they are still dumb though. It says she is a Palestinian Jew rather than Jewish.

Are Palestinian Jews not Jewish ?

Well that was weird. Even in Trump’s many bizarre speeches the one yesterday was probably the most batshit deranged. In fact the whole thing was bizarre, even the speeches blowing smoke up his and Netanyahu’s arses before he got to do his act.
He went way beyond parody in his first term, now we have the parody of parody.
When he talks of the future you can see the £ signs in his eyes.
Funny? He is as funny as cancer. When interviewed after  his show he wasn’t interested in commenting about the future of Palestine, just the rebuilding of Gaza. Dollars, dollars, dollars.
The IDF have shot 6 Palestinians this morning. Well the ceasefire went well.

You seem a tad disappointed Trump has been the leader in securing the ceasefire, and potential peace deal.

Trump and his team have done a tremendous job driving through the hostage release. Agreed?

They are both but the insinuation of saying that she is only Jewish suggests that her view had more weight as a person criticising their own country. If she is Palestinian Jewish, her heritage and background maybe more Palestinian, which explains a different context to her actions. She obviously isnt very bright anyway because destroying a shrine to hostages isnt really tackling her key objection which is the death of Palestinians.

Analysis: Israeli troops opening fire shows how fragile the ceasefire really is

Israeli troops opening fire in Gaza demonstrates how fragile the ceasefire is, our international correspondent Alex Rossi said.

"We are now a few days into it, the rest of the peace plan that Donald Trump has put in place is pretty vague," he said.

"I think the hope now is that it can move beyond this and move to a second stage and a more comprehensive peace."

But Rossi explained that will be the difficult part.

"It has bedevilled diplomats for decades, reaching a broader peace," he said.

"You have to remember that all of the underlying roots and causes of this conflict very much remain today.

"I think the big things that are going to be very difficult to overcome are: who's going to run the Gaza Strip? Who's going to govern it? Who's going to rebuild it?"

Did you actually listen to all of the speeches? Did you know that the whole thing ran 3 to 4 hours over its allotted time? The only desperate thing about it is Trump’s desperate need to be given the Nobel Peace Prize and his desperate need to slag off Biden and Obama at every possible opportunity. Yes, he did it during his speech again yesterday. He also talked about how effective the US munitions were that he sold to Israel in killing people. No grace. No class. The man is not only an embarrassment to the USA, he is an embarrassment to mankind.

No I didn’t but Trump plays to the audience he is in front of. I don’t really care what he said. You are focusing on an incredibly minor matter when the key point he had a major role in unlocking this complex conflict which you should be giving him credit for. It’s bizarre you saying he is an embarrassment when he has just achieved this.

He may have played a role in the Gaza peace plan, it may have been significant, or he may simply be a figurehead being used to front up work done by others and having his fragile ego massaged, but it does not erase the many instances that evidence his mental incapacity.

😂😂 What a tart, “embarrassment to mankind”, what a drama queen😂

He’s played a blinder in Gaza.

A one off, imagine Biden instead 😂😂… He would have wet himself, before wandering off in a daze.

The bit about "Bibi" calling him asking for weapons, and being given whatever he wanted, including weapons that they didn't even have but they made them for him, was bizarre.

I'm not sure how that sits alongside the notion that Trump is the president of peace.

Besides, the mods hired Ms Yahlom to look into supernatural incidents on SaintsWeb.

It turns out the endless moaning and dire self pitying warnings of a bleak world was just SOG.

Trump has declared peace and the conflict ends after 3,000 years.

The Zionists and illegal settlers have put aside 7/10 and embraced Palestine as a neighbour, the starving Gazans have gone home to dig the remains of their kids out of the rubble, the IDF soldiers can sit around with their own families and tell their own stories of how many children, doctors and journalists they killed, Hamas terrorists have laid down their arms and laughed off the genocide as a misunderstanding, and no one will want the bother of war crimes tribunals, too much paperwork, even our own bitter leftie hate marchers have put down their woke peace banners and scuttled back to suburbia in their sandals - it's all over, so many lessons learned, the end, god bless Donald.

This thread can close now, nothing else to discuss.

The saddest part of all this is that so many on here (though they will deny it) will be absolutely delighted if war breaks out again, just so that they can berate trump again. It is amazing how sick some people have become in their outlook and for what, to point score on a fucking forum. Hang your heads in shame.

Yep, you sure are. Or are you happy with what trump has contributed to this peace deal? Or, as i suspect, will you be happier when people start dying again if it collapses so you can berate Trump.

We are all happy that everyone's involvement in this has resulted in the peace deal and that includes Trump.

You, however are such an utter moron that you try to score points on here by suggesting we want people to start dying again, what an utterly nasty piece of shit you are, you should be ashamed but I doubt you are and have proved again that you are the definition of a cunt

I see there is another pro-Pal twat the media is (rightly IMO) going after, a speccy Oxford University student chanting "put the Zios in the ground". To be honest he should be arrested purely for using the phrase "a chant we've been workshopping". How on earth do morons like this get into Oxford FFS?

Plenty of intelligence, zero wisdom. His safe middle-class upbringing in Tunbridge Wells has given him all he needs to understand and sympathise with oppressed people around the World.
