Looks like Goztepe may get a big cash injection if the transfer of Romulo happens.

RB Leipzigs offer of 16.5 million Euro (£14.05 million) has been rejected.

Would be one heck of a turnaround in Profit. They only exercised the €2.5million "option to buy" 5 months ago.

Their record sale is apparently only 2.7m euros.

If only we had a surplus to requirement striker, that’s drawing interest from Turkey, that we could sell to Goztepe now they’ll have some cash…

Good SR scouting to sign him for Goztepe on loan with an option in the first place and then make a big profit.

Definitely some value to be had in South America so good we are starting to utilise it with Alcaraz, Juan, Welington etc. Low risk and potentially high reward.

A fair few of their targets are Brazilian by the looks. (Göztepe)

We are interested in transferring Ibrahim Sabra from the Jordanian league, and Jules Ahoka, a 19-year-old player who is 1.90 meters tall and has not played for a professional team. Dennis was offered 3.25 million euros but was rejected. Although the Turkish league is not a major league, the leagues we get our players from are the worst leagues in the world but they are generally successful.

Sabra is now done.

If transfermarkt is correct, he played for 4 separate age groups for Jordan in 2024

U19s U20s U23 and full team.

Good start to the season. Göztepe finished 1 pint ahead of Rizespor last year

Rizespor actually beat Göztepe 6-3 on 18th may in one of the last games of 24/25

Seems late goals have caught on among SR clubs then.

Göztepe frustrate Mourinho at home again.

Played 24 minutes of the second half with 10 men after Juan got sent off for two yellows, but fenerbache got a man sent off for two yellows themselves on 85.

Mateusz Lis saved an injury-time penalty

Things working well for Goztepe then it seems. See they turned a good profit on Romulo after only one season, interesting to see how he gets on at Leipzig.

Goztepe one up to go back top of the league as it stands.

Hopefully they can be an inspiration to some of the more struggling clubs in the SR stable, like Saints and VA. 🙂

Looking at the video MLG posted, didn't realise the standard is that bad in Turkey.

MLG'nin yayınladığı videoyu izlediğimde Türkiye'de standartların bu kadar kötü olduğunu fark etmemiştim.

We could call the Turkish league the Portuguese league. There are weak teams outside of 5-6 teams, but Göztepe is the team that has spent the least money in the league, selling 26 million euros worth of players this season. A goal from Romulo, who left the Süper Lig.

Excluding bonuses, the club made a €17 million transfer profit, bringing the club's total profit to around €19 million. The striker who left for Leipzig was replaced by a player from the Ghanaian second division. Solet, who was expected to earn a double-digit transfer fee to the top four leagues had he not been injured, was replaced by a 27-year-old player from the Brazilian second division. While the team already had three right-wing backs, one of the 14 foreign quotas was filled by a 30-year-old, 1.74m tall player from the Brazilian second division. At the beginning of the season, a European competition was promised.
