Stu Man Do Posted 11 December, 2025 Posted 11 December, 2025 He’s obviously decent for a team of our level but I certainly felt he received less “feedback” on his mistakes simply because he wasn’t AM or GB last year. Made some great saves but also had some howlers such as Forest away. Can’t say I’m surprised he isn’t Newcastles cup of tea as they love Pope up there. Can’t see how the loans benefited his WC chances, perhaps he will get lucky due to Trafford being messed about by City.

Dusic Posted 11 December, 2025 Posted 11 December, 2025 He has probably struggled in the football goldfish bowl that is Newcastle. They bleed black and white up there and it can be suffocating if you aren't used to such a football mad city. Remember talking to @maggo who said some players would drive an hour outside the city on a day off just to breathe in less pressurised air. Ramsdale wouldn't be the first who just couldn't cope with the intensity of it, he may just suit a city that is less passionate about their club.

They know their football I remember chatting to @giomagpie and he was one of the most intelligent people on football I’ve ever met. @blackandwhitefoamhandgeordie was a top lad too and he knew all there was to know about glovesmen having coached the goalkeepers Glipton Grasshoppers at U8 level. 1

Wouldn’t surprise me if they try and sign him on the cheap as a back up option. Especially if the qualify for Europe (which now looks unlikely). He made a couple of excellent stops v Man Utd the other night, including one that looked similar to the save Pickford made at St James a few days before, and the media went overboard about.

He’ll get another loan or move to a bottom half team next season 💯

Tommy Mulgrew Posted Tuesday at 20:15 Posted Tuesday at 20:15 Rambo recognition from Deeney on BBC website: “After every round of Premier League matches this season, BBC football pundit Troy Deeney will give you his team and manager of the week. Here are this week's choices. Do you agree? Give us your thoughts using the comments form at the bottom of this page. Aaron Ramsdale (Newcastle): He was a huge part of why they won against Chelsea, not just for his saves and collecting balls into the box, but for his ability to play out from the back as well. ...”

Patches O Houlihan Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I see Rambo has made the enlarged 35 man England squad for the friendly against Uruguay. He'll be pleased that he at least has a chance to show his potential before the group gets slimmed down for the second game against Japan. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clyrnrgp6k6o

Fair play, he's desperate to go to the World Cup, has a chance to make it happen , would be good for us as well getting a higher price if we sell
