You genuinely think it’s “a big if” we’ll buy anyone if we sell Fernandes and/or Dibling?

Think you’re being a bit silly.

It possible because time is running out,and  all possibilities are still on the table

In English pleas

On Friday, President Sergey Galitksy 🇷🇺 and Eduard Spertsyan 🇦🇲 met.

The player was informed that Southampton's 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 offer was rejected by Krasnodar 🇷🇺.

The SaintsFC have finally made a 2nd offer worth €14M + bonuses.

Because MLG can't be arsed.

The second offer should be accepted by the Russian club. The president apparently does not want to hold on to his players if they want to leave. Eduard Spertsyan could play his last match tonight with Krasnodar

There there is absolutely no point in making that post on an English forum.

Translate it before you post it, or don't bother. Waste of time.

Something being easier doesn't make it easy. We still have to get rid of players which is obviously a lot harder.

You can't post a link on this forum to a post on X with it already translated. But people reading the post can see it translated... by clicking the X translate button.

What is miserable about saying all things are still possible.

Both MF and TD could stay and we don’t purchase.

One or both are sold and we do buy or we don’t for a lot of reasons, we may not be able to convince the quality we need to join or run out of time.

Sorry for not being happy clapping

Then just copy the content, stick it in a translator, and post it on here. Link the tweet underneath it.

Posting an entirely French post on an English forum is daft.

Adam Blackmore still pretty confident we are selling both Fernandes and Dibling. I know we knew that already but it's still a shame.

When did he say this?

Absolutely disgusting that people are saying what should or shouldn't be posted on this forum. Disgraceful.

No, you are always pushing the pessimistic/ negative view, however unlikely, there is no balance.

Being balanced isn’t being a happy clapper.

Some of us have no problems with the French and it avoids misunderstanding.

It's English we have most problems with.

Ok then, well it’s been an absolute bundle of happiness and positivity all the way since the playoff final so I apologise for not being so full of optimism

Didn't we have someone like this who took everyone through the Gakpo situation? That ended the same way.

I still see this ending in the same way. We've never managed to get our 'big outfield targets' over the line in our SR windows, Gakpo, Ramos, Silva who went to France, O'Riley last summer. All good having the ambition, but we really need a big signing over the line at some point. They've spent a lot, but it's been on kids in the main - not a proven gamechanger.

Yeah, this one has always had that smell about it, when it's that much in the press the player and agent are clearly fishing for a better 11th hour option and I always thought this one would be hijacked. He looks easily good enough for a top 5 league and the price being out there is just a 'come get me'.

I just hope the club has our back up options lined up. That could be that Brazilian lad in Germany.

After this saga, I’m sure if we do sign him he’ll be every bit as good as Rudi Skacel was

Scienza doesn’t look that impressive from what I’ve seen or read.

Just seen something else on twitter linking him with Lens again, I guess despite Still having gone, they like him. If true, he will go there.

Yeah this is what him and his agent wanted. We've been used as usual.

This guy is either;

a) making it up as he goes along

b) getting briefed by Krasnador

c) getting briefed by Spertsyan’s team

if its any of the latter two then I’d tell them they have tonight to decide or we’re done

This has always felt unlikely since the alleged initial rejection. I still find it weird he would still be playing matches for Krasnodar if he was that keen/close to joining us.

I imagine for the recruitment team - who seemed to be doing a solid job of keeping this deal moving quietly up until a few weeks ago - it must feel like a real kick in the teeth to see things stall once the media spotlight turned on. That said, it looks like we always knew the money needed to get it done, and sitting on it for too long was always going to risk another club stepping in more decisively.

Alternatively, as someone suggested above, maybe we’ve just been used by the agent to flush out interest from bigger European clubs. Either way, it’s clear we really want(ed) him, and it’ll be hugely frustrating for everyone if it doesn’t come off now.

I’ll admit I knew nothing about him until recently, so I’m not going to pretend I’m heartbroken - but from what I’ve read, he sounds exactly the type of player we need.

Bore off Toffee. I know you’re not used to it, but sometimes in life you have to pay for things.

Seems we are struggling to finalise the deal for Spertsyan and my gut feeling is that it was never really going to happen. Regards Dibling and Fernandes I don't think any club is paying what we want for either of them so, unless that changes, they'll both be big players for us. Up front I'm starting to give up on Stewart and Downs needs time. With what we have, if nobody else leaves, I hope Will Still decides to ditch 5 at the back and switch to 4231. We'll need a new right back and a new centre forward (possible loan deals) as minimum to put out a side something along the lines of;

Baz

New RB Stephens Wood Manning

Charles Downes

Dibling Fernandes Robinson

New CF

I've gone for Stephens and Wood because Edwards, THB and Quarshie have not impressed me at all so far. Fraser I can't quite see where to fit him in which is a shame as he's been very good and would be effective. coming off the bench.

Of course Blackmore is still convinced Dibling and Fernandes will both leave but who is going to pay what we want?

Posted

I’m more convinced Dibling and Fernandes will both be staying. I get the impression that the club would be more inclined to let TD leave but no club is forking out £50M on a player who hasn’t done anything of note so far in their career.
