bobby_charles Posted May 10 Posted May 10 This reminds me of that Simpsons sketch where homer wins a boxing match by just standing there and getting punched in the face 2 2
sockeye Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Like constipation in football form. It has to come eventually, but you're forced to sit and wait. 1 2

As soon as we win the ball, we cycle it sideways and backwards. Might as well be wearing pennies and trainers. This is diabolical. Because that would mean they go up a gear and it’ll open the floodgates. Better to only try in the last ten minutes but that risks being open at the back. Decisions decisions!
Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Sule fails to get it past 7 of them a minute or two back! What is wrong with him? 😀 We're not targeting our balls out of our third. So Sule is covering a fair bit of area. We had a decent move there, where City had to drop back and so couldn't counter when they got it back. So, the more we do that the less we'll get caught out over committing.
Saint Fan CaM Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Big Les is getting undone, but to be fair with a two man midfield against City he’s onto hiding to nothing.
Obstacle1 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Ugochukwu is a donkey. No way will he get into the chelsea team
Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Les in the book, so we may have to switch who's stopping Kovacic.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Sod off De Bruyne you diving git. No more getting signed by Lawrie Mac in my bored day dream for you.!
Suhari Posted May 10 Posted May 10 The gardening is going nicely. About to plan out some decking. Any recommendations on sizing of the wood for the frame (or whatever you call it). It's sitting over patio. Guessing 2by4 will do the job? Are we being spanked yet?

Saint Fan CaM Posted May 10 Posted May 10 To be fair to Rusk, he’s frustrated City to get to 0-0 at half-time, with no subs. Everything to play for! 😜😉🤣
BotleySaint Posted May 10 Posted May 10 City going to get 3-4 in the second half. They've not got started and have made it easy for us so far. Possibly they expected it to be easier. 1
BarberSaint Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Rather than a 12th man, we're going to get a 12th point. I can feel it in my pint (number 12 so far).

Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) They come off frustrated and increasingly moany. We come off having stuck to our game plan. We went for keeping it as compact as possible, push them wide, with Sule working across the pitch to pick anything up. It's worked so far. They have had some free kicks. Les has a lot on him in the middle. He's a foul away from a second yellow, after blocking their free kick. So, that may be a swap, if not a sub. Not a slight, just tactical for him today. obelisk Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Not exactly end-to-end stuff but Musk will take some satisfaction from that. It'll take something to keep them at bay for another half.

Have you considered a Rasmus Ankerson, single massive plank, option for your decking? 1 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Right now Rusk is pointing the players to the banner on the dressing room wall. It says… ”It ain’t broken. Break it now”

Saint Fan CaM Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Aribo not covering the ground Les did - it will be our undoing.

Could moved Fernandes or Downes there, or heaven help us, moved up Stephens. But, considering those options, you can see why Aribo was an option too. 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Aribo did well to get it clear. De Bruyne being looked at for foul play...but plays for big team... so they can sit back, without looking... 🙂 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Shame about that pass to Welington. It wasn't a tough one, and would have made City think about getting everyone up.
Saint NL Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Downes pulling someone back to get a yellow card? Now I've seen everything 2

Saint NL Posted May 10 Posted May 10 What minute is the ref going to give City a penalty? I'm going 87th minute
BotleySaint Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Just now, Saint NL said: What minute is the ref going to give City a penalty? I'm going 87th minute Way sooner than that. I reckon 65 minutes. They need time to get a few more goals after.
Saint NL Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Fucks sake ref. Takes forever to blow the whistle and it's a free kick city
Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 10 Posted May 10 They have the cheek to moan about not being able to take their non-free kick quickly. Grrrr... We get it away at the other end. Not quite as sharp closing, with Aribo on, and Doku giving them a different option.
