obelisk Posted Saturday at 14:40 Posted Saturday at 14:40 A touch in their box. City will have to be wary. 1
bobby_charles Posted Saturday at 14:40 Posted Saturday at 14:40 This reminds me of that Simpsons sketch where homer wins a boxing match by just standing there and getting punched in the face 2 2
sockeye Posted Saturday at 14:41 Posted Saturday at 14:41 Like constipation in football form. It has to come eventually, but you're forced to sit and wait. 1 2
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 14:41 Posted Saturday at 14:41 Something happened, it wasn't much but it's something
Doctoroncall Posted Saturday at 14:42 Posted Saturday at 14:42 8 minutes ago, St. Ciervo said: What is the point of this game if we won't even try to get a quick counter. As soon as we win the ball, we cycle it sideways and backwards. Might as well be wearing pennies and trainers. This is diabolical. Because that would mean they go up a gear and it’ll open the floodgates. Better to only try in the last ten minutes but that risks being open at the back. Decisions decisions!
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 14:43 Posted Saturday at 14:43 Another free kick outside the area after a poor tackle from Les
obelisk Posted Saturday at 14:44 Posted Saturday at 14:44 Ref always happy to give City a free kick. Soft. 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 14:44 Posted Saturday at 14:44 Sule fails to get it past 7 of them a minute or two back! What is wrong with him? 😀 We're not targeting our balls out of our third. So Sule is covering a fair bit of area. We had a decent move there, where City had to drop back and so couldn't counter when they got it back. So, the more we do that the less we'll get caught out over committing.
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 14:45 Posted Saturday at 14:45 Big Les is getting undone, but to be fair with a two man midfield against City he’s onto hiding to nothing.
Obstacle1 Posted Saturday at 14:45 Posted Saturday at 14:45 Ugochukwu is a donkey. No way will he get into the chelsea team
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 14:45 Posted Saturday at 14:45 Les in the book, so we may have to switch who's stopping Kovacic.
SNSUN Posted Saturday at 14:48 Posted Saturday at 14:48 Did we really get to half time unscathed...? 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 14:48 Posted Saturday at 14:48 Sod off De Bruyne you diving git. No more getting signed by Lawrie Mac in my bored day dream for you.!
Suhari Posted Saturday at 14:48 Posted Saturday at 14:48 The gardening is going nicely. About to plan out some decking. Any recommendations on sizing of the wood for the frame (or whatever you call it). It's sitting over patio. Guessing 2by4 will do the job? Are we being spanked yet?
obelisk Posted Saturday at 14:48 Posted Saturday at 14:48 HT 0-0. Slightly surprised. Can't last can it?
CB Fry Posted Saturday at 14:49 Posted Saturday at 14:49 @trousers we need a live league table as it stands

Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 To be fair to Rusk, he’s frustrated City to get to 0-0 at half-time, with no subs. Everything to play for! 😜😉🤣
BotleySaint Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 City going to get 3-4 in the second half. They've not got started and have made it easy for us so far. Possibly they expected it to be easier. 1
BarberSaint Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 Rather than a 12th man, we're going to get a 12th point. I can feel it in my pint (number 12 so far).

Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 14:54 Posted Saturday at 14:54 (edited) They come off frustrated and increasingly moany. We come off having stuck to our game plan. We went for keeping it as compact as possible, push them wide, with Sule working across the pitch to pick anything up. It's worked so far. They have had some free kicks. Les has a lot on him in the middle. He's a foul away from a second yellow, after blocking their free kick. So, that may be a swap, if not a sub. Not a slight, just tactical for him today. obelisk Posted Saturday at 14:55 Posted Saturday at 14:55 Not exactly end-to-end stuff but Musk will take some satisfaction from that. It'll take something to keep them at bay for another half.

Ken Tone Posted Saturday at 14:59 Posted Saturday at 14:59 Brazil .... its just like watching brazil!
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 15:01 Posted Saturday at 15:01 Right now Rusk is pointing the players to the banner on the dressing room wall. It says… ”It ain’t broken. Break it now”

Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 15:06 Posted Saturday at 15:06 Aribo not covering the ground Les did - it will be our undoing.

Could moved Fernandes or Downes there, or heaven help us, moved up Stephens. But, considering those options, you can see why Aribo was an option too. 1
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 15:12 Posted Saturday at 15:12 Sulemana is the end of every saints move 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 15:12 Posted Saturday at 15:12 Sulemana can’t pass for fucking toffee!
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 15:12 Posted Saturday at 15:12 Aribo did well to get it clear. De Bruyne being looked at for foul play...but plays for big team... so they can sit back, without looking... 🙂 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 15:14 Posted Saturday at 15:14 Shame about that pass to Welington. It wasn't a tough one, and would have made City think about getting everyone up.
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 15:14 Posted Saturday at 15:14 Looks like our players had some Weetabix at half time
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 15:15 Posted Saturday at 15:15 Downes pulling someone back to get a yellow card? Now I've seen everything 2

Saint NL Posted Saturday at 15:18 Posted Saturday at 15:18 What minute is the ref going to give City a penalty? I'm going 87th minute
BotleySaint Posted Saturday at 15:19 Posted Saturday at 15:19 Just now, Saint NL said: What minute is the ref going to give City a penalty? I'm going 87th minute Way sooner than that. I reckon 65 minutes. They need time to get a few more goals after.
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 15:19 Posted Saturday at 15:19 Fucks sake ref. Takes forever to blow the whistle and it's a free kick city
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 15:19 Posted Saturday at 15:19 They have the cheek to moan about not being able to take their non-free kick quickly. Grrrr... We get it away at the other end. Not quite as sharp closing, with Aribo on, and Doku giving them a different option.
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 15:19 Posted Saturday at 15:19 Rubbish Ref - being very biased to City now.
