Branthwaite done his hammy.

TBH they could leave him on the pitch and it wouldn't make any difference.

They were fine with a not 100% Coleman. I doubt we'll cause any problems for Branthwaite.

They've taken him off, just in case he hurts himself, more than us being able to take advantage of it.

Incredible from our team. We got a corner.

Wish I was in the ground for that, those travelling fans will be able to cherish that moment for years to come.

Isn't today wonderful watching on TNT  all those wonderful ex Everton players at the wonderful Goodison with all their wonderful memories of wonderful games they played with other wonderful ex players.

I cannot add to all the posts made on this thread by fellow Saints fans on what we are watching from these players of ours at Goodison Park this afternoon. The lack of any effort at all ,determination and courage is quite breathtaking.

However, may I just make a comparison to another team in another sport please ? I have two sports that I love in my long life. Football and Rugby Union.

I am a season ticket holder at St.Marys and a club member at Northamton Rugy Club. Both Saints eh !

My Northampton Club membership allows me first dibs on a seat at any home match. I'm 77 years of age so I try to go up to Northampton , four or 5 times a season to watch a game. I usually fit the games in on when Saints are not playing at home. It's also a bit of a drive so my mssus and I usually stay the night somewhere and make a weekend of it.

Not sure if too many football fans on here know this but 2 weeks  ago the Northampton boys played Leinster in Dublin in the the European Cup semi final. Leinster are probably the finest club rugby team in Europe. Their wage budget is over twice Northamptons and so they can afford to sign proven international players from the Southern Hemisphere . They were clear favorites to win this match and some of the Irish Rugby press were quoting a 40 point victory. I had a chance to go but being retired now, by the time I factored in the match tickets, air fare and hotel bill I decided it was a it too much .

However, the young Northamton boys turned up and played with courage and conviction. They all put their bodies on the line and won by 3 points despite being down to 13 players several times in the match. It was magnificent to watch !

Please bare with me.....I am coming to my point !!!! Yesterday, the Northampton boys returned to Franklin Garden to play their first home match since that semi-final.  We decided to go and we....all the home fans....stood up and gave them a wonderful reception when they ran on.

The Final in Cardiff against Bordeaux Begles is next Saturday but Phil Dowson the Director of Rugby decided to put a full side out, apart from injuries, to play Saracens. Northampton have not had a great season in the Prem and have no chance of reaching the 4 play off spots so you might just think the boys would just take it easy and not get injured and secure their place in the 23 for the Final.

Did they heck !!!! These young guys gav yesterdate it everything yesterday against a very physical Saracens side who still had a good chance of making the play offs. The physicality was immense. You could hear the hits in the stands ! The breakdown was fiercly contested and no one took a step back. And it was bloody hot too !

My point is.....as I am watching this rabble of Sainst players on the telly at the moment.....how can blokes who play a game where they are paid a tenth of what these useless buggars are earning....able to have the courage and commitment and determination not to be outplayed as the Northampton boys were yesterday when nothing really was on the line.

I think we have all come to the conclusion that any team that any manager puts out there at the moment ina Saints shirts just isnt good enough but it's the utter total lack of any resolve or effort at Goodison that I find shameful. today !

Many intstances today already noted by many on here but one just highlights for me the total cowardice of this side now. In the firts half at about 30 mins Sulemana rarher luckily recieved the ball on the left. He powered away into the Everton half and almost got to the edge of the pen area. Absolutely no one made any effort at all to try to get to him and support. I watched Aribo, Dibling and Downes who just jogged along, fully 30 yards away. Sulemana was tackled and any advantage was lost.

Ive had it with this side and with this club now. No season ticket for me next season. Think I will just stick with my other " Saints " side now.

MF pulled out of that tackle there. He’s been as bottleless as the rest of them today.

It's been noticeable that even he's given up. I can't blame him tbf.

That could be the last we ever seen of THB.

I won't be sad to be honest.

He's not dead. He's just preparing for his move to Sheffield United.
