It's one of my happy songs, pop that on along with Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel, Piano Man by Billy Joel (get well soon) and Prettiest Eyes by the Beautiful South and I'm instantly in a better mood. 3

Unravelling is probably their heaviest to date in truth - picks up on the back of kill or be killed and won't stand down. I am ofc just messing around re the whole radiohead/thom yorke thing (it was ever so slightly before my time) - although i can't listen to radiohead, just puts me to sleep. I'm an '84 birth but they passed me by first time round - I "discovered" them in about 2012 - modern day prog (and my true love is prog).

AlexLaw76 Posted Wednesday at 21:10 Posted Wednesday at 21:10 Another great song, for very different reasons, Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven A brilliant mix of completely owning a stage/song, with your mate having an insane ability to blast out a legendary solo rift whilst being of his face on probably every recreational drug going at the time. also, Don’t look back in Anger (Oasis). Anthem of a generation. shouts to Kate Bush, Running up the Hill, New Order, True faith Bizarre Inc, Playing with Knives Nalin and Kane, Beachball (classic Ibiza) 1

Courteeners are so underrated. The Opener probably my favourite of theirs. FEAR narrowly missed my cut. Both those Smiths tracks are amazing. I saw Marr down here a couple of weeks ago. His version of both was immense, there is a light in particular. 2

I’ve seen the Courteeners about 20 times always been a huge fan right from the St Jude days when they played in front of 2,000 or so at Leeds O2 Academy, I’ve seen them play in front of 30,000 at Heaton Park and Old Trafford cricket ground and I’m still amazing at the amount of people, mainly in the south, who say “who?” When you say you’ve going to see them velvet morning makes my list due to the brilliant version Ashcroft does on Acoustic Hymns which gives a different dimension to an already great song. some of them not the best songs by the bands but personal to me for different reasons like can’t stand me now and Ruby Tuesday Edited Wednesday at 22:42 by Turkish 1

Free Bird or Shine On You Crazy Diamond is going to be my funeral song, just haven't decided which yet...I like the sombre start, but toe tapping last 5 minutes to Free Bird though - everyone would be in a good mood leaving.
