Yep. Rubio said similar overnight, essentially saying that Israel had said they were going to hit Iran, and the US feared reprisals, so struck first. 

I doubt we'll ever hear such nonsense again to justify war. He needs to get his head out of Netanyahu's arse.

Never thought I’d praise Tucker Carlson but I’ll make an exception - he called it spot on, Trump is bonkers following Mad Ben headlong into Israel’s conflict.

If it doesn’t blow us all up first, silver lining is it will finish MAGA off if the Epstein files don’t get there first (Quelle Surprise the distraction from those, and Trump). Even he’s having to warn the red hatted numbskulls of higher petrol prices for a while and that’s on top of his horrific economic tableau of tariffs and high inflation.

How many different reasons have they given for starting the war so far? The getting your retaliation in first is a classic!

It looks very much like Trump has been bounced into it by Netanyahu who must think that (if he was a Christian) all of his Christmas’s have come at once.

Putin will love it too as it will take resources and focus away from his own expansionist plans. Trump is proving to be more than Useful Idiot to both of them.

He is becoming more of an embarrassment to the US and a liability to the rest of the world as each day passes. The spoilt brat response when he didn’t get the real Nobel peace price, that he had given up on peace, has proven to be true. The only issue now is how much damage can he do to world peace before the US comes to its senses and removes the buffoon from power? Will his rhetoric move from how many wars he thinks he has ended to how many new ones he is starting?

No he won’t. One of his few allies is getting neutered and that after Assad has gone. Baffling how so many talk about Russian expansion - 4 years on and they haven’t taken too much of Ukraine and pretty fucked.

I read in a few places that their strategy appears to be to keep forcing neighbouring countries to expend lots of money defending themselves with expensive weapons whilst they keep lobbing cheap drones with the idea being that it will encourage those countries to ask for peace because they can't afford it to continue. Will be interesting to see if they can achieve that or not. I expect anyone they appoint as supreme leader will be target number one to just be killed again.

I'm no economist but surely the price is going up because they can deliver less of it? I can't imagine prices would be going up if they were able to deliver literally the same quantity.

OPEC + have agreed to increase output, so they can and will pump up. The point remains that the oil rich Arab states will be making a killing on the back of the killing.
