I'm quite liking this contrarian malarkey... ) The point is that taking a panenka is somehow perceived as trying to be too cocky and that one saved is worse than any other penalty saved or missed. It isn't.

It isn't. The manner of a penalty can definitely make things feel worse even if the outcome is the same. When panenka is save dot normally looks like a pathetic attempt. At least if you blast it over the bar it looks like a proper attempt to score most of the time.

We actually play way better shooting at the Northam in the first half and the Chapel in the second half. No idea why but it’s largely always been that way. The Northam Wall was always going to be bollocks, the people saying that though got shot down by the zealots who refused to listen to criticism of it.
Saint Troy Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Leo Scienza is greedy, if he passed to Larin the striker would have another 3 goals by now ps if love Leo and the above is slightly bollocks but think Im just picturing a potential repeat of the Tadic Pelle love in

As you can imagine I was dismayed when we switched permanently. First season doing it turned out to be the worst home record in our history. Coincidence? I think not. The centenary game against Everton at the Dell was the first time I'd seen us switch ends and unsurprisingly we lost (Everton were pretty decent back then). ASlways thought it was a bad omen from then onwards. Not sure it has turned out that way. I notice we switched ends on Sunday and obviously won.
