Question has sticking with Tonda caused us more or less damage in the long run? Do you predict we will crumble when the new or interim manager arrives?

Speaking of Twats, Middlesbrough have given another interview about us in the Athletic

They're the only one's to have benefitted from the whole affair. Beggars belief they're still playing victim. They only have themselves to blame for bottling their second bite of the cherry.

@franniesTache get some good info at times.

Mine's dried up a bit recently as one of the people i knew left the club and they reported directly into the board, still hear bits and bobs but not much of the top level stuff that's happening anymore

It’s a shame they didn’t wait for the forthcoming 30th anniversary of Boro cheating and the pain of relegation that caused!

And that is the bottom line. The constant posts from people getting wound up about it are tragic and funny in equal measure.

I don’t agree. People have genuine anxiety about it, myself included.

As you said, probability dictates that someone knows something. So someone pretending to know something can be anxiety inducing up until the point it’s obvious that they’re pretending.

That uncertainty, and the vested interest is what they’re relying on. I don’t think that makes it harmless or tragic. If someone cares about something deeply it makes it very difficult to be objective, or accurately assess the credibility of a source.

"Being at the training ground when Boro realised they were being spied upon"

Yeah... They never knew Salt was going to be there until they just happened to spot him on the day... No-sir-eee.... 😂

Or did they?

Let’s go over to Jake Taylor for his side of the story… and how much Boro officials paid him… 😉

People are worried, don't confuse that with "genuine anxiety".

Regardless, the simple point remains. If you believe a claim about information to be bullshit, treat it accordingly and move on.

I don't know whether MB has or hasn't heard anything, but he's merely said that we should hear something. Hardly ground breaking, or anything to get upset or anxious about.

Re that last part. Most people have the common sense to appreciate that a source cannot be identified, or even hinted at, for reasons that should be obvious. If a forum user feels that they have a right to drill down to "assess the credibility of a source" that's a bit daft given it's bloody obvious that they won't get that information.

I thought he had said Tonda had a ban and we had appealed it but maybe I’m confusing him with a different poster.

But what makes you so certain MB isn't passing on what he's been told in good faith?

Just because the info correlates with what has already been rumoured doesn't prove he's just making it up, so why do you have to be such a cunt to him about it? Why can't you just ignore him if you don't believe it's legit?

It's no wonder many of the previous ITK posters don't bother anymore if they're just gonna get abused for it.

The legitimate ITKs post when they have stuff to share and their comments are always well received. The chancers and wind up merchants tend to get what they deserve (and likely want), subject to how they pitch it.

Wish they would just get the hell on with it and announce a ban we all know that's what he's going to get Its just a matter of how long! I can understand why they did for stability reasons but Personally think the club were naive to stick with him, once you are tarred with being a cheat you are always going to be damaged goods and it will be difficult to. Repair the reputation of the club with him here

Exactly my thoughts, Tonda has been great but we should have sacked him the moment it all broke.

it’s just delaying the inevitable that we will be looking for another manager, possibly less then a week before we play little Portsmouth in their big cup final.

if we’d had sacked Tonda back in May this would have all been over with by now.

Why's everyone being so negative? It will be fine. Probably a suspended ban or something.

None of them know but they post on here to reaffirm their own fears with each other , some of them will be hoping for an 'i told you this would happen moment" but ultimately they're guessing at the moment

Christ all fucking mighty... talk about milking it.

Wonder if Kieran Scott and Kim needed therapy and counselling for the trauma they've suffered. I'm sure it'll be available as part of a victim support package.

Liverpool have a rival for the Biggest Victims 2026 at this years awards.

Does he not realise that, had it not been for us spying (I use the term spying in the loosest terms possible), they would not have been granted their second chance to appear in the Play-Off Final? Maybe he should address his disappointment to the manager of Boro who resided over a team who put in one of the weakest, most inept performances I've ever seen at Wembley especially considering the magnitude of what was at stake. He could then have given Kim Heldberg something to really cry about.

That’s the thing I don’t understand. Is it our fault they screwed up a second chance? Their mentality over all this is extremely weird. Sure laugh at us for getting caught and being kicked out but to then kind of make out they’ve been wronged is crazy.

On a complete side note, given over the last few months Tonda and his party have had a baby, he’s had death threats, upped security and the pressure on him - it must be an incredibly tough period for him.

So with that, whatever the outcome, whatever the situation I hope the club will help or are helping guide him through this.

A period he totally bought on himself you mean?
