Only the EFL could present that evidence, and that's the same EFL that have just given us an increased ticket allocation...

Yep, and good point...it's not unusual though to present evidence knowing nothing will turn on it.

If it is the 'nuclear' option, they've probably got a much longer statement to prepare compared to if it was just a fine and/or points deduction? To me, it's bad news if they've made a decision but aren't ready to announce it tonight.... #gutfeeling

Surely the importance of composing a statement is outweighed by the importance of informing fans if the plan is to cancel Saturday?

I'm absolutley astounded by that. sheer incompetence by all.

Absolutley horrific. They need to have a long fucking hard look at themselves after that. How can they do this?

Us for doing what we did, fucking idiots. But Christ on a bike, how does that warrant this level of punishment? I'm shocked, taken a back by this. Not sure what to say.

What I don’t get.. and if the likely decision has been made already the why wait until tomorrow. Every hour that elapses costs supporters and clubs more money. It doesn’t make sense. Spoke to someone with decent connections to the club this morning. He knew nothing and nothing coming from within the club.

Assuming that saints will never be allowed to play again, what happens to the stadium? Can eastleigh use it maybe? Would be kind of fun to have a 30k stadium and we all switch to support Eastleigh through the various fun leagues.

And what happens to the player contracts etc? Do they just get cancelled?

All player contracts would be terminated. I just hope that those who are blameless, can somehow move on with their lives.

The women's team could use the stadium.

After they and the stadium rename themselves, to distance themselves from the shame.

That's a constructive view. Obviously, the main feeling would be to dismantle the stadium. While salting the earth at Carthage was a myth, we could apply that here.

Then leave it as a stark warning to others about fair play. A cautionary relic that clubs like Man City, Chelsea and Leicester can look at it and say thanks that it could never be them.
