hypochondriac Posted Tuesday at 18:10 Posted Tuesday at 18:10 Maybe not the marquee THB replacement some people wanted but highly rated and I hope he does excellently. Some absolute mongs weren't sure if we were going to replace THB after he was sold but obviously we were going to and we have even if he wasn't our first choice. Welcome Zach and good luck. 4
sfc4prem Posted Tuesday at 18:20 Posted Tuesday at 18:20 In terms of prudence, this could be quite a shrewd signing. I imagine our finances aren't in the greatest place after two seasons in the second tier. If we can get in the promotion positions by the turn of the New Year with this chap playing a role, we might have some change left over to invest in January.
Osvaldorama Posted Tuesday at 18:22 Posted Tuesday at 18:22 (edited) Welcome aboard Does anyone know if he did sign a new contract at Forest before he joined? Edited Tuesday at 18:22 by Osvaldorama

hypochondriac Posted Tuesday at 18:24 Author Posted Tuesday at 18:24 Certainly talks very well in his interview. 1
SNSUN Posted Tuesday at 18:43 Posted Tuesday at 18:43 He's not the permanent fans perhaps wanted in Falchener or Affengruber but with time running out he seems to be a decent pick up. Forest fans rate him and that's usually a good indicator of talent. Welcome Zach. Ok we didn't get the option but Forest buy players willy nilly so maybe if we do want him next season and his path is blocked there, hopefully he enjoys his time here and wants to stay. Schlotterbeck and Jack are good experience to help him out,
AlexLaw76 Posted Tuesday at 18:51 Posted Tuesday at 18:51 Welcome to the club Russ. One and only rule - Don't be shit.

Transfermrkt (usually a reliable site) and a few other places list him as 6'2". I'm excited to see him play though I'd keep faith in Wood and Schlotterbeck for now. Edited Tuesday at 22:51 by SNSUN
Patches O Houlihan Posted Wednesday at 08:23 Posted Wednesday at 08:23 (edited) On the BBC that stolen toilet bloke reports: He seems firmly wedded to Forest right now. Edited Wednesday at 08:24 by Patches O Houlihan 2
Patches O Houlihan Posted Wednesday at 08:29 Posted Wednesday at 08:29 I watched this yesterday found it interesting - my previous post will be buried in the transfer thread somewhere
SaintNate Posted Wednesday at 10:25 Posted Wednesday at 10:25 Not really a fan of helping to develop other clubs young talent, but it is what it is. Welcome aboard. 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Just wonder how many games he’s going to get. I get the feeling Tonda will settle for a Wood / Deven S pairing as first choice. If one of those guys needs replacing I reckon he’ll pick Stephens for experience, suggesting we’d need to be in deep trouble to call on Abbott. 1

I think Abbott will be regulary starting alongside Schlotterbeck relatively soon. Forest will expect him to get regular game time, if he doesn't the loan is pointless fir him and Forest. If he is 4th choice for us he won't even be on the bench. If he is 3rd choice, you rarely sub your centre backs to have fresh legs, like you do with strikers and other positions. 1

If he turns out to be a Mason Holgate he will get returned to Forest. He will have to earn his place in any squad. 2

Except when in the Millwall game Stephens replaced Schlotterbeck in the 87th minute. Strange that. Maybe other other examples. [MLG mode off]

Because it doesn't benefit the player or Forest for him to be on our bench as 3rd choice or not even in our matchday squad as 4th choice. If that were the plan he'd be better off staying as a backup at Premier League Forest like he was last year.

Mason Holgate wasn't and was returned to Everton.

Yep - you said it rarely happens because of a CB tiring like a striker, but now you’re saying that was probably due to him being new and tiring? In other words, it does happen and it happened very recently. It’s probably happened a whole bunch of other times, but I can’t be bothered to look that up for all teams across all divisions in all leagues. Maybe AI can help you prove your point?
